  1. I'm from the UK I've been out of the loop alately on the hardware news side of things so unless I scour through endless amounts of benchmark articles and videos, it's hard to compare performance between my current hardware and the newer hardware and the real world benefits
  2. I'm pretty flexible wth budget as I can always save up over time or get finance. Its just whether a new system would be worth the investment or would I be fine with just getting an i7.
  3. Hello. I'm currently using; i5 4690k z97 mobo msi gtx 1070 32gb ddr3 I use this system for my main gaming system, image editing, rendering small videos and audio/music recording. my problem is, I've started getting into streaming and just generally recording my game sessions. With my i5 I hit 100% load on my CPU quite frequently, especially on AAA titles and badly optimised games. Causes bad stuttering on both my game AND the stream/video should I start thinking of upgrading my platform and repurposing my current system for simply audio/music recording or should I just buy an i7 for my current platform? Whats your guys' opinions? Thanks carl
  4. Be that as it may, I prefer the look and feel of the rift. Personal opinion thought.
  5. The oculus is so much more ergonomic and "premium" feeling. It has experimental full room-scale VR when you have 3 or more sensors (just like the lighthouses of the vive) I have a rift, but I've never used a vive. Coming from a person that prefers ergonomics, especially when it comes to immersive VR, the rift takes the cake in my opinion.
  6. Thats odd haha. Just verify integrity of game cache through steam and it should replace the exe thats apparently 'missing'
  7. Right click the GTA V exe and click properties. In the compatability tab, check the run as administrator box. It should run it as admin when launched through steam
  8. I'm assuming it's microstutter you're talking about. Try running the GTA exe in administrator mode. I used to get REALLY bad microstutter on Dirt Rally, but running it in admin. mode worked at treat.
  9. What games do you like/have liked in the past? I could recommend something like FIFA, but we all know that's not gonna be helpful
  10. Hey. Finally finished my color mod for my Corsair Air 540. Took absolutely ages to complete because the weather in the UK is absolutely shocking most days! haha Things I would change? I'd have picked a darker red personally. The color I used was "Ford Sunset". It has a very slight orange tint to it, but I'd prefer that instead of an over-the-top strong red. It looks a lot less orange IRL than the photo shows. Also, the corsair logo sits a bit weird in the recessed bit on the front panel because of paint build up around the masking tape I used. (Pictured below) And here is an awfully lit gut-shot taken a while ago to see what I'm matching the colors with. What do you guys think to it? Thanks Carl
  11. Literally what everyone else has said. Take the HDD LED plug out of those pain in the ass front panel headers !
  12. Try buy some of that rubber u-channel stuff to hide the edges of the windows. I can see how roughly cut they are when i look carefully at the picture. That would solve that problem. But other than that, it looks good!
  13. Sounds like a very odd problem, one that I have never experienced on BF1. I had a similar issue with Rainbow Six Seige. I was using MSI afterburner for a mild 100mhz OC. This program was causing my problem because as soon as I closed it and kept it off my game works flawlessly. I'm not saying this will work for your problem as such, but maybe try closing some apps in your system tray. Maybe that'll help?
  14. If I understand what you're asking correctly, you don't NEED the same fans as your CPU cooler. Just get a fan you like the look of and has good reviews. As long as it's good, you're not going to notice much difference whatsoever between them.
  15. Although 1440p is the sweetspot for 27" monitors, 1080p is still far from bad. I'm still using a 1080p 27" monitor at the moment and its fine!
