at first i thought they sandbagged to avoid getting split up because of being a monopoly. needed amd to get some market share

If you think that's what what people have suggested then you haven't understood what people were saying about AMD purportedly faking out Nvidia on the price, because I have yet to see anybody suggest that it was for the sake of consumers getting the lowest price. There is no correlation between or dependency on what Nvidia's prices are and what AMD can set theirs at if wanting to give consumers the lowest possible price. So, if that was AMD's goal, then AMD would simply price their GPUs lower from the start, or even right now, and whatever Nvidia's prices are would be completely irrelevant.

The understanding is that, if AMD did price higher to fake-out Nvidia then lower their prices after, then it was because they already knew they were going to have to lower prices to remain competitive against Nvidia's upcoming offering, and so wanted to do it in a way that would avoid lowering prices any further than necessary. What AMD did, if they did it, was a business calculation to maximize profits.

Investors can sue for whatever they want, of course that doesn't mean they'll win, but there are always lawyers lined up to have a shot at it.

if this goes through all these agencies will gain a lot of power even in government. imagine them just tapping every politician and use their private conversations etc to demand they vote certain way or it "leaks"

and ofc its not just politicians, it opens the door to extort any high profile person

now lets look at it this way, if they announced the lower pricing first and nvidia matched it with super right away (which is pretty reasonable assumption since super is only here to stomp the amd launch), amd would probably have to lower the prices anyway. that would cut into their margins a lot

having the higher price announced and then cutting it after super announcement leaves them with higher margins... so they will probably have upper hand in price/performance, better margin than in first option and if nvidia decides to also cut prices it makes nvidia look terrible

Lol, why is everyone basically freaking out coz they lowered the price before launch? Big freaking deal lol. Why no one looks at this from other perspective, that NVIDIA rushed the "Super" cards as a response to AMD coz the Navi cards were big enough of a threat? But everyone seems to make it like AMD is freaking out. They're not, it's just price adjustment to competition. Isn't that exactly what everyone was asking for? Competition?

It might be unnecessary from an outsider's perspective but I fail to see how that's AMD's problem, there may be good marketing reasons. What about the many people who are "unfairly forced" to watch LTT live streams at unsocial times... No one is forced, LTT chooses to follow and review other companies, it can't be their problem to fit your timetable. There are benefits and drawbacks in every line of work.

1) Do you seriously want to try and argue that Ryzen is not the chief reason AMD are doing so well?

2) Maybe you think Ryzen are shit, but the market disagrees and the market tells us otherwise.
if we talk top end, yes ryzen wasnt comparable to intel products performance wise. why does market like ryzen? BECAUSE ITS SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER, BETTER VALUE. jesus dude how many times do i have to spell it out for you. ryzen didnt sell so well because of some performance crown (cuz it had none), it sold well because of its price/performance

3) market sales go up when you have a top end product. many people consider threadripper to be a crown product
and again, ryzen and threadripper wasnt top end product. it was just cheaper
