  1. i mean whats gonna change if you keep the cpu and see some bottlenecking? you can still buy a new cpu after that...
  2. intels 7nm doesnt exist so idk what youre comparing
  3. the answer is no, 2080ti already isnt enough for 4k in some games. if there are more raytraced games in 3 years then that also means no...
  4. dont forget you need good cooling, doesnt matter if you have 10900k in a laptop when its going to thermal throttle
  5. for competitive gaming probably not, but most of the games you mention arent competitive so you decide
  6. theres 10249 test cases and depending on which column from my screenshot you take, you can get 1000+ missed detections easily missed offline detections: 3000+ missed online detections: 1400+ missed online protections: 10+
  7. one test showed theyre comparable, the other 2 tests clearly showed avast and avg better than microsoft in both detections and performance. microsoft missed 1000+ detections over avast and avg and thats the better case scenario when it has online access https://www.av-comparatives.org/tests/malware-protection-test-march-2020/ https://www.av-comparatives.org/tests/performance-test-april-2020/
  8. yes, i can agree with this. popups and pushing their "system optimizer" and whatever other shit is annoying. but from av performance standpoint i dont think its fair to keep repeating that MS is as good/better
  9. nice deflection if youre looking at this source (av comparatives), "real world test" shows exact same detection rate and compromise rate for avast, avg and microsoft. difference is only 2 more false positives for avast and avg. "malware protection test" shows avast and avg better than microsoft. "performance test" shows again avast and avg outperforming microsoft.
  10. source? false positives isnt exactly the main metric i would look at when comparing AV software
  11. whats that performance gonna get you when you get infected by ransomware, some crypto miner or other similar stuff preventing you from using it
  12. VRM getting too hot because they used cheap stuff/poor design and cooling... how would that be a firmware issue?
  13. the use is you dont have import tax between the states, so buying from any other union country is viable option depending on shipping cost. plus you get very good consumer protection
  14. general consensus is dont overclock third gen ryzen
  15. @Master Disaster getting the os on a flash drive isnt that big of a problem. problem is booting from it on different machines because newer hardware doesnt have xp drivers and iirc you cant cram all the drivers youd need for older hardware either
  16. afaik its not gonna work if you want it to be portable between different pcs (its been years since i tried tho, but i doubt anyone cared to do that since xp is obsolete)
  17. b550 doesnt have onboard fan, so that might be a reason?
  18. depending on how close to the build you posted it. you may have had time to return it.
