I cannot say anything but "Yeah I agree."
The controls of the first game are quite bleh, stopping mid fight to chose what to do, same attack animation all the time and all that.
It's pretty bad tbh, but try to run through it for the story at least if you like it. The story is fantastic, unlike the gameplay in the first game.
 
I started out with playing the 3rd since the hype was so huge, LOVE it.
But I felt like I was missing out, which I was, when talking about the story.
Playing the first and second game made me realize that.
 
The second game resembles the third a bit more when it comes to playstyle and fighting, more action and freely fighting. Huge improvement from the first.
My suggestion about the first one if you don't like the gameplay, just put it on easy and play it for the story.
The second is better and third just takes it all.

Like LionSpeck said the sillicon lottery play a big part in overclocking. But 1.3V seems a little high for 4.2GHz. Are you sure that the CPU are actually on that voltage? 
Maybe something else could be causing the instability. Try setting everything to default (Optimize Default), and only changing the Vcore and CPU Frequency (also set to the correct Memory Profile). 
And, yeah, stay clear from Prime95, it can fry your chip (it overvolt your CPU even further and draw too much power, I think Linus explains why on some OC Guide)

Unfortunately, I can`t push pass +100Mhz on the core, it always crash when I run the benchmark...

I just passed a 4h stress test on RealBench, so it means it was somewhat stable! I still need to run AIDA64 for another 4-6h.
I finally manage to overclock my shiny new i7 5820k to 4.4Ghz with only 1.265V!

I have the SE215 and I really like it, is very comfortable and isolate the outside noise very well. And sound really good too.  The cable is not so bad, it only a little heavy. Keep it in mind, though, I only have them for some months.

I really like those DAC/Amp that you suggested. Now is time to look into some reviews to decide which is best  .
 
Hm... A strong vote for se215. I`ll look more careful into those. Maybe I`ll love 'em too   

I think it`s a good idea. I replace the stock thermal compound of my GTX 770 with the MX-4, and the temps go down 5 to 12 degrees. So you should give it a try.
