  1. I can spend what I need to. I don't want to do "more money than sense" but something that is just overall better and will last me awhile. Something that looks nice. I actually considered getting IEMs for working out and such, since I play and coach hockey, those would be perfect to not fall out of my ear. But that's for later down the road. Monitors, DAC or w/e, and headphones for a reasonable price. I don't want to cheap out but I don't think I need to break the bank.
  2. For sound? I dunno, I'm not like an audiophile or anything really. I just like to listen to music and play games at the computer. I would LOVE something wireless, but doubt that's a possibility.
  3. I currently use Astro A40s for headphones and some Dell 2w speaker for my speakers. But with upgrading my battle station come January, I'd like to get some monitors / speakers or whatever the term is. Some that are better than what I have. I saw on TLD recommending these. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HU7F59C/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00HU7F59C&linkCode=as2&tag=techfdinne-20&linkId=JJDRKJVCE6CQ3P3G Would anyone recommend anything better? Something that would last, say 5 years maybe? I will probably need a DAC, everyone seems to love Mayflower? I've also been told to get AudioTechnica's ATH-M50. Is there a way to have an audio output device to have all the same sounds but I can turn them off when I want to? Now, my games come through my headset and all of Firefox's sound come through speakers. But is there a way to have all come out through speakers and headphones, and I just use whatever I want to at the time? Turn one on and one off without having to go into Window's sound configuration?
  4. I come and go here a lot, but I still watch LTT on Youtube. So a few weeks ago, LTT said they want a new office and such. Did they decided this after doing / finishing this entire Office Water Cooling project? Since Part 2 said August 2014. If they decided after starting and finishing this project, wouldn't this be a waste of time / effort?
  5. I've been gone for the most part here off and on for a few months so I don't know if this has ever been posted or talked about but I hear me out. Linus is looking to move into a new place for LTT to film and such and mentioned that he's hired a few new people since starting LTT, which is a contributing factor to why they need a bigger space. Now, Linus does MOST of the reviews. Slick comes in a does some, Tech Quick is now by another person (sorry, forgot his name haha). What if LTT had a review for a specific section of technology? For example, Anandtech which I love to read, has certain people for certain reviews. Some for PSUs, some for cases, some for laptops, some for Apple products, some for mobile. Like their own area of expertise. Now I know they have done some of this for awhile (like Slick with the latest mouse and keyboard uploads, etc) Why not have say Slick do Mechanical Keyboards, Mice, GPUs or other things he's really knowledgeable at? Linus doing things such as cases, CPUs, and PSUs? Someone for displays? Hell, maybe even someone for games since they already do benchmarking. Have maybe another team member do phones, because lets be real phones are a big part of tech right now and there are very few reviews of them on LTT. (Or hire MKBHD to do Phones for Linus? heh) I say this because Linus does 90% of the videos, if not more. I like Linus, I really do. Linus can't do everything, even if he wants to. But I feel like they could do more videos without losing quality, more often, with more products if they had members focus on certain areas. Some of it also has to do with getting things from manufactures. Just my two cents featuring wondering and thinking.
  6. Been hella busy. Trying to learn Python, C, and C++ simultaneously now D: I have not, that would be a pain in the ass to get the thermal armor on. Would the CMOS even be a problem? I would see other things besides just this. Haven't reflashed the BIOS, there probably is a BIOS update somewhere. CPU fan header is in the primary prongs.
  7. I dunno if it should go here, but I've had this computer built since spring 2013. I didn't have this for the longest time but when my computer crashes, or boots up, or restarts, it'll say CPU Fan error into the BIOS. In order to get rid of this, I need to go into settings and it discard changes and exit. I know my CPU fan works. My CPU temps are at 42C normally, going up to about 55C max. I have a z77 sabertooth by the way. Dunno why it does this. Any ideas why?
  8. If they extend the battery life even more and offer multitasking, I would love a new iPad Air. Mostly because my current iPad Air has a shattered screen, only reason for me to get a new one. 4 > Air was a big update. i don't think Air > Air 2 will be so. Might just get a Mini, depending on how the screen is on the mini this time.
  9. I don't care if the phone bends. If I intentionally bend it, it will bend. if I don't intentionally bend it, it won't bend.
  10. I plan on getting an Apple (RED) leather case. Don't care if it bends or not. Also, I have an Air, was thinking about going to a Mini this fall, but might not.
  11. For those who have either phone, what made you get the version you got? Besides cost, was it the size? Or the battery life? Or what? iPhone 6 Plus is currently sold out in my area, so I'm driving 2 hours to Indiana Saturday to buy a 128GB one. I had my first hands on today and realize how big it was. I wasn't use to the size, largest I've had is Galaxy S4. Plus has better battery life, 1080p, and is sorta like a smaller iPad Mini. It also has landscape mode native. Please don't start with Android vs iOS. I don't want an Android. I left Android twice. Just want to know how people are feeling with their 6/6+, and what they'd recommend getting.
  12. I don't get the problem with this? This is most likely just console sales. If I get a console game, I'll get it at Gamestop.
  13. I'll so support this. I loved STALKER series, and Metro series is one of my favorite FPS games of all time.
