There is more to do and explore in San Andreas, plus the character is far more likeable. The graphics age the game really badly though,

Monkey Dust reacted to mr moose in Spotify Will Stop Running Political Ads In 2020
The difference is they don't need to appraise each song for it's content, the user requests the songs or rejects them, the ads however are served up based on who pays for them not what the user defines as their political preference.  Spotify don't want to end up being engulfed in the same debacle that facebook was during the last election.   best way to do that is ban all political ads.

I agree wholeheartedly,   In today's 24 hour news cycle and with social media being loaded with absolute BS, the last thing we need is more politically funded BS lying to us through media we use for entertainment.     If they can't stop with the ads outright then there should at least be laws that prevent political ads from talking about other parties, let them only talk about themselves rather than lie about their opponents.

I personally love politics (it's been a hobby of mine for 20 years), but in recent years the level to which modern communications has degraded the discourse is frankly pathetic and any self respecting human should be ashamed to be part of it let alone endorse it.

I can't wait for political ads to be something people see as a weakness in a party rather than something that promotes that party.  Only then will they stop lying to us.

Or you could do a UK and half convert to metric. So measure fuel economy in miles per gallon (UK and US gallon being different), but buy fuel in litres. Weigh most things in Kilos, but people in stones and pounds. Wine and spirits in ml, beer and cider in pints. Also, no one under 50 understands Fahrenheit, and no one over 50 understands Celsius. It's almost like we're incapable of making up our minds...

Also, cyclists. Supposed to be on the road, looking forward, but need to know if some bus sized is coming up behind them. And of course blind, or otherwise sight impaired people.

Even among those who should be able to see a bus coming, if they step off the curb in front of a bus they could easily be killed. Even if you take up the sociopathic position that is not a problem because it's their fault, there is still the bus driver who has to live with having killed someone. There is still all the witnesses, the emergency services who have to extract the body, the poor bastard back at the bus depot with the pressure washer, and all the traffic chaos a fatality causes. We should be doing everything we can to prevent such serious accidents.

Yep. In the UK (probably applies to most of Europe, but I'll go with what I'm most familiar with). 90% of the decent and semi-decent jobs are in a handful of big cities, which is where most of us try to live. If you want lots of space you either have to be able to spend deep into seven figures, be willing to live in a borderline war zone, or live with a soul-destroying commute. Though personally I'd rather put up with a small house and live close to where stuff is happening, it's not all about access to work.

I think cars from the late 90's/early 00's had the perfect amount of computer, mechanical, (and low weight) mix that just made them so much more enjoyable as cars.

Now cars are just driving iPads. And I don't get it.. I work in tech and just feel like I want to get away from the tech sometimes and get a breath of fresh air you know? Why are we so obsessed? Hopping in my "old" miata on the ride home and taking backroads is enjoyable to me. I get to get away from all the technology and just enjoy the drive home.

not saying modern cars don't have their benefits. Just.. why can't we keep things simple?

Monkey Dust reacted to Sauron in Canadian fined $35,000 for hurting feelings
I don't recall anyone wanting him jailed, nor did I say they're "literally Hitler", but I guess you can hyperbolize all you want while in the same breath accusing me of hyperbole. Also fascism is not just any form of authoritarianism, nor do you need to be "literally Hitler" to have fascistoid tendencies. That's why I said "fascistoid tendencies" and not "fascism". Which, by the way, is also not quite the same as naziism, but hey, conflate away.

Thinking the nazi salute is funny and then making a career out of whining about people telling you it's not may not make you a nazi, but it sure says something about your leanings. Bullying and making fun of disabled people? Also a distinct trait of fascistoid rethoric. You don't get to frame this as though it was a random isolated incident; it's always the same set of people who are up in arms about things like this, desperate that people don't like it when they make racist jokes or call for "death to all Jews" - but nooo, it's just a prank bruh. It's just a coincidence that every time they can they defend someone for being racist, ableist or absolutely tone deaf while repeating nazi dog whistles as "jokes".

These things are only funny if you somewhat agree with the core message, and the core message here is hate towards vulnerable people. It really doesn't matter if it was "just a joke", and a career "comedian" isn't just having innocent fun with his friends when he tells it before a large audience.
Ahhh yes, the "small government" bullshit. These people have been crying bloody murder when private companies like youtube decided they didn't want to host them, citing the right to free speech - well guess what, that's them asking for government intervention. They say they want a small government, but only when that government would otherwise be prosecuting them for hate or violence. They want a "small government" when you propose to increase welfare but they also want the government to crack down in immigration, and so on. In other words, they lie through their teeth about their own positions to maintain a veil of plausible deniability, which clearly works judging from your reply. It's kind of like me claiming I like corporatism despite the fact that I slam copyright law, monopolies, closed source software and billionaires at every chance I get.
Yeah, you quoting that again doesn't make it an argument in favor of your point. People used this excuse to justify slavery, citing "state rights". Your freedom to own a slave doesn't trump everyone's freedom not to be one. Your freedom to bully disabled people doesn't trump disabled people's freedom not to be bullied for who they are. It seems to me you're the one who wants to erode freedoms here. "Our freedoms are being eroded but you can't see it and I have no tangible evidence that it's happening in the way I said it was" is on the same level of logic as saying there's an invisible, intangible teapot orbiting Earth which you can't observe but trust me it's there.

Yeah, subscription fatigue. And that's before you lose your job, or have a big saving push, for say a mortgage. It's nice to have stuff you've already paid for you can use whenever. Most of these amounts are small, but they mount up really quickly.

SUVs and similar are all pretty rubbish for pedestrian safety. The double whammy of being impacted further up your body, torso and head rather than legs, and a greater chance of going under the vehicle, and getting crushed. This does look designed for making absolutely sure you kill whoever you hit though.

    So many other questions;
That roofline, is the peak really high? Or do rear passengers have little headroom?
Is Elon trolling? Has he completely lost his mind?
Or is it just a desperate bid for cash in the form of deposits, and they just wheeled out what ever they could find?

The price seems wildly optimistic too. Considering its weight and claimed range, it's going to need an enormous battery.
