  1. The Hyper X II's come with a USB sound card/amp/whatevertheheckitscalled. And all that's different in the II's 7.1 surround sound (useless), better noise/echo cancellation, and a memory foam headband.
  2. The Tek Syndicate review video makes we worried about having enough power to drive them. My system is a hodge-podge of parts, so my motherboard is not exactly new. I don't have an amp, so I'll plug them into my motherboard. Should my motherboard be able to drive them? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga78lmtusb3
  3. I have too many wires and cables around my desk.
  4. For the people who just need random parts to troubleshoot dead components.
  5. Zotac GT 730 Good if you just need a videocard, but don't expect this to be doing well in games. It has a heatsink but no fan. http://www.newegg.com/Special/ShellShocker.aspx EDIT: Fixed the title for those of you complaining
  6. In general, no. The GPU is given more complex tasks, but it is also faster at completing them. It just depends on your GPU. I have an FX-4130 too, and it was always ahead of my GPU. Albeit, my GPU is terrible at folding to the point where I just CPU fold.
  7. It is at 100% load, but Imakuni just explained why I can't finish them. I don't run mine 24/7, only when idle and when I am present in the house to make sure it doesn't overheat.
  8. Since you can't request easier folds, I wouldn't be any help if I used my weak GPU.
  9. How do I delete the work unit? Which should I install to get easier GPU WU's. 10. My GPU always gets assigned hard proteins, so they take forever to fold. Unfortunately, my GPU isn't strong enough to complete it in a timely manner. The page has this note: My computer has 9 hours 56 mins to complete this work unit. It also, however has my ETA as 6 days. This is believable considering I've been running it for a day and it's not even at %10. What will happen after those 10 hours? Also, is there any way to request easier proteins?
  11. I'd like to make my GPU be running at full and my CPU and medium. My CPU gets a bit too close for comfort to overheating at full.
  12. I guess I failed to state this then. Sorry about that. While you technically don't need sound to play a game, in FPS's having mono sound will be little help except for audio cues (Like Dead Ringer in TF2). If you find directional sound helpful, then you need at least stereo surround. Either way, let's stop replying to this thread, as OP has made his decision.
