  1. Just a question, but do you happen to still have your 955?
  2. Could be interference with your headset's poorly shielded cable? Or as I said above, power problems running a'muck.
  3. I'd stay away from the RAT series, I have the RAT5 some I'm not blindly hating. Just the gamble you take on getting a working RAT isn't worth it. If you are really set on getting one you are kind of rolling the dice.
  4. I'd say the Ducky like everyone else is saying, or look at the Cooler Master Quickfire TK.
  5. I get this through my speakers, although it's more of a pop, when I unplug or re-plug in my USB hub. I assume it has something to do with the power delivery of the motherboard, but I could be shooting in the dark here.
  6. I'd head over to Head-Fi they have more knowledge over there than I can spit out from my infrequent skimming. Though search through already posted threads, as it is kind of a pet peeve to post what has already been answered. And trust me it's probably already been answered.
  7. I'd go for the headphone + mic option personally. Headsets seem to be poorly made these days, and their sound quality and useful features are often lackluster. I've heard great things about Audio Technica's AT2020 but it is USB. Then you could get a pair of Beyer Dynamic DT880s, for a semi closed experience. Can I ask why you want closed headphones Normally for gaming and general use, open headphones are better, except they normally have weaker bass and they leak sound for others around you to hear.

    Which mouse?

I have a RAT5 and seem to be one of the lucky ones who haven't had too many problems. I had a few tracking errors, but then I shot some compressed air in there and haven't had problems in the 6 months since. The only other thing is the horizontal roller only recognizes one impulse or click for every two physical clicks in the anti-clockwise turn. Works fine for clockwise, but since I only use that wheel for scrolling through tabs in Chrome, it's not a huge problem for me. As zephiK says, I try to go for the SteelSeries, they have great products.
  9. I wouldn't get a TV for a computer monitor, just a bad idea that has been explained before and better than I could. If you want to know why, use a little Google-Fu and enlighten yourself. As per a white monitor, you best and probably only bet, would be to paint your own. Just look up a guide on how to paint plastic, de-bezel the monitor you get, and you should be set for a fun weekend.
  10. 120Hz IPS? Which one? Did you take out a second mortgage for one of the overclocked ones?
  11. I recently got the U2412m from the Dell outlet for $250, the reduced warranty might bite be in the a$$, but I trust Dell's work.
  12. Since you have a mechanical keyboard, get some blank keycaps. That way when you look down you get no help. I've done it and it keeps me from looking down. I left the symbols on for now, so just letters and the ?:"{} keys are blank as well,
  13. I'd try to stay away from a vacuum cleaner for cleaning PCs due to the static electricty the can create/transfer. Though I think the DataVac is suppose to not has ESD.
  14. Notice the first name is Edzel, while his nickname is Diesel. But what if that is just phonically? Then Ed-Zel with the first sylabl switched would be De-Zel or Diesel. And I thought Slick's name was Greg or George after it was dropped in the live stream on accident? Let the conspiracies commence.
  15. For the mobo tray, assuming you have some tools since you are modding a case, just drill new spots for standoffs? Or is the back plate/PCI spacing different too?
  16. For wireless, I can't complain too much, need to get me one of them wall adapters as my house was built in '96.
  17. I think you quoted your up and down wrong. If not, 35 Up, what for?
  18. Not to be super critical here, but have you hear of punctuation?
  19. Thanks for the lengthy overview!
  20. @fish Most BestBuy's have the Razor Black Widow with Cherry Blues. I know you don't want a Tenkeyless(w/o number pad) but the Quick Fire TK from Cool Master kinda combines both. I have the QuickFire Rapid with Reds, and I love it. Do you play more RTS or FPS style games? Normaly FPSers prefer red or black.
  21. For headsets, 5.1 and 7.1 don't really matter as most headphones/headsets as most only have 2 speakers. If they say 5.1 or 7.1 it's artificial through software. If you want better quality, get a nice pair of headphone(AD700 are highly recommended for good sound/price and sound-stage, Grado SR80i or SR60i should work too) then get either the Zalman Clip mic or a desktop one. Pair with a sound card this makes for good audio for gaming or listening. 22. I've been watching the price of the DGX has been going up for some reason. Before Christmas is was ~$20. Half of what it is now on Newegg without the $8 shipping. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...FcsWMgodNjsALA
  23. You can get the acclaimed O2 Dac for $99 or the new rising star the Schiit Modi for $99 as well and it has an enclosure. Though it's quite unrelated to OP Links: http://www.jdslabs.com/item.php?fetchitem=39 http://schiit.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=0&products_id=1

You cannot go wrong, although they are only slightly over $100. Great thing is as well that you can buy any replacement parts from beyer, its great! Slightly over $100? Where? Lowest I find is $170 from B&H Photo Video which is about 140 Euro. Plus the 250Ohm version are harder to drive without an amp(Googling shows OP's card has an amp, but I'm not sure how well it would drive). Some one correct me if I'm wrong. Also to OP. would you prefer a closed or open headphone? Closed meaning it would block sound passively(normally better/more bass too), or Open meaning you can hear outside sounds and have better "soundstage" or positional hearing(like is the guy shooting to the left in front of you or behind you). Sense you want bass I'd recommend M50s for simplicity's sake. Or the V Moda Crossfades, though they are ON ear not Over ear.
