  1. I don't think he painted the key caps, they look like the stock CM mechanical keyboard key caps. To keep the lettering, you could try dying the caps instead of painting them. I've seen people using RIT Dye with some success, but I don't know if something similar is available in Portugal.
  2. http://www.amazon.com/MEElectronics-Sport-Fi-Noise-Isolating-In-Ear-Headphones/dp/B0038W0K2U I use these, but I take off the silicon tips to improve awareness. If you're riding around you should be aware of your surroundings for your own and other's safety. Doing that does take a hit to sound quality, but I tend to listen to podcasts when on my bike so SQ isn't the highest of concerns, but my own person safety is. I also use my Koss Porta Pros when it's nice out. I'm pretty sure the M6 from MEElectronics comes with a controller for a bit more.
  3. Pretty sure it's made by Techflex or at least goes by that name. They have both mono-filament and multi-filament. Mono is less dense, meaning you can see the wires inside easier. While multi is more dense and is harder to see the wires inside. Then you close the ends off with heat shrink tubing. http://www.redco.com/Flexo-PET-Techflex-Sleeving/ http://www.redco.com/Shrink-Tubing/ or you can search around yourself
  4. Hmm, I'll look into it. Gonna take a gander at what Microcenter has to offer too.
  5. Is there much of a reason to go with the 3570k as opposed to the 2500k? I know the 3570k has support for PCIE 3.0 and better power consumption. Also, on the motherboard, are there any specifics I should look at? I want to have overclocking as an option. These questions are open to anyone.
  6. I'm looking to upgrade my CPU + Mobo, and then maybe my GPU because it will be the new bottleneck(and then also my PSU to accommodate all the changes). ANYWAY, here's what I have currently: AMD Phenom II X4 945 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103809 MSI 870A-G54 AM3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130275 FirePower Fatal1ty 550W 80Plus Semi-Modular http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341022 MSI R7850 Twin Frozr http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127663 The CPU, Mobo, PSU are coming up on around 4 years old and it's time to upgrade now that I have some expendable cash. I'm looking to upgrade the CPU + Mobo first and will then deal with the others later, but suggestions are welcome. I've been out of the loop a little so that's why I'm here. Budget: I want to keep the CPU + Mobo under $300, the closer I can get to $200 the better. Currently I'm looking to buy an unlocked i5 and a quality overclocking capable Mobo used. So my questions are: 1. Is 3570k the right choice? Or should I look at the newer unlocked i5 or possible go back another generation to the 2500k? (It's gone 2500k, 3570k, 4670k right?) Or should I go with something like the 3820(might be out of budget)? 2. Depending on which CPU I get, what corresponding Mobo should I get? To me, motherboard are one of the most confusing things... Computer is used for gaming and web browsing, and will be my desktop for college this fall. I'd like to be able to throw most anything at this machine and have it do decently well, that's why I'm thinking unlocked i5.
  7. You're in college, please learn how to spell it. On topic: CM Quickfire Rapid is probably the way to go. Look for deals when they drop below $60.
  8. If you paid any attention to his post, you'll find that he either wants a closed-back all around headphone(which the NAD visio HP50 fit, but aren't that portable) or an open pair for home and earphones on the go.
  9. Gimme dat awesome phone now finally with an SD card slot.
  10. Alrightly then(what ever that means...) Might molest my schedule to make some time to take a crack at this again. making a backup now.
  11. I thought there was an exploit that needed to be found because of a new hboot or something? The firewater site seems to say this should work with m7 (fingers crossed). But I don't have time...
  12. After going through the list, it seems my Verizon HTC One with 4.4 isn't able to get rooted due to an hboot update to 1.56. So me and all other Verizion HTC One user's with KitKat are SOL for a while.
  13. Ideally, something like this should be done in a wiki format where others can update as things change. And even if you can't list the procedures, pretty please link to a few. When trying to root my phone, having a point in the right direction really helped. Also what 4 methods are there for the HTC One? RumRunner, Firewater, ...? EDIT: After reading through your comment again, it seems like you're writing less of a guide on how to root and more of an introduction to rooting.
  14. As someone trying to takle rooting my new phone(but can't b/c of 4.4 on my Verizon HTC One), relate/make analogies of terminology and procedures to computers. Example: ROMs are like OS distros and unlocking the bootloader is like having access to the BIOS to change boot path(Least I'm pretty sure these are good analogies). Also, a section on "What you can do now that you've rooted your device" or "What you should do afer rooting your device." Going through the capabilities and things to do to get full use out of you device, what apps to get, and other optimizations you can do that your phone is more "free". At the top make sure to have a "Date last updated xx/xx/xx" and a list of known phone that have rooting procedures with either links to external website with the how to or to posts/comments here on how; kind of like |jokers|'s HUGE IEM review of Head-Fi. His post would be great to look at for ideas. Of course the type of post is different, review verse guide, but he's managed his now huge post very well. EDIT: Also, thanks for doing this. Trying to go around on XDA isn't the easiest and cross referencing tutorials was like researching for a paper. Having a simplistic one stop shop of info would be very helpful.
  15. I got the confirmation email, and my player icon/info(Same username) appear in the Members tab. EDIT: It's fixed. Not completely sure how, but I went to https://robertsspaceindustries.com/account/settings and scrolled to the XMPP Token heading at the bottom and clicked the pencil icon thing. After refreshing the LTT chat page I got the chat to pop up. Hopefully that will help others.
  16. Do you have some on/off switch for the LTT chat? This chat works: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/community/chat But the LTT one doesn't. I get the "Disconnect. Reconnect by reloading" message.
  17. Anyone having troubles with the chat on the RSI site? I'm getting a recurring: I just want to do the questionnaire in the IRC. Also, what determines whether you are a Recruit, Commodore, Captain, ect?
  18. Maybe something like this?: http://news.cnet.com/8301-33620_3-57587175-278/is-this-the-best-smartphone-plan-ever/
  19. With air coolers, the fans you use are almost as important as the cooler itself.
  20. The V2's would not be considered audiophile, though I haven't heard bad things about them from gamers. Current favorites to recommend are the AD700 with a stand alone mic, like a Zalman clip or a desktop mic. But for your price and what it sounds like, the V2s should be fine.
