  1. I'd love a Kova because I adore Roccat products and that mouse looks like something I'd love to use! Thanks for offering this fantastic giveaway, LMG/Roccat!
  2. True, if it's only adware. Some can also be classified as a virus due to having further functions.
  3. Note that the programs will likely re-install themselves unless properly cleaned out. I usually do it myself and also use Malwarebytes.
  4. Also, the description of this torch says it takes a 2200mAh battery, but I don't know why it specifies one size. It would work with all (inlcuding 2600, 3400, etc.), right? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321630233468
  5. Thanks for your input I have seen a video where Nitecore, Olight and another brand (genuine ones) were tested and reached above 3300mAh, closer to 3400. If it's real, I would expect to achieve very close to that, however I don't mind if it doesn't manage for some reason. I'll probably invest in a single 3400mAh Olight 18650, which would cost about $27 including shipping from BrightNite.
  6. Hello, I know this is the computer power supplies and cases section, but I'm sure there's people roaming here with knowledge on the questions I have in this thread, and I couldn't find a better forum to post it. Anyway: - Running in this torch (click here), which uses a single 18650 rechargeable battery at a time, is there a real need for a 'protected' battery? Do you think the torch brightness will drop off noticeably when the battery is running out, so I wouldn't accidentally completely discharge it? - While I am roughly 98% sure it does; do you know if the batteries sold at this site are legitimate and will provide with the full rating? - Does anyone know if these batteries are genuine (I am fairly confident they are)? If there's any other information you can provide me with that would be helpful in choosing one or two 18650 2600mAh/3400mAh, that'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Hamish.
  7. Hey, thanks for the help, but I found something that worked! I checked the partitions then ran these 3 commands: bootrec.exe /fixmbr bootrec.exe /fixboot bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd Now Windows is working fine and I will continue updating to Windows 10, as it was attempting before but got stuck due to GRUB.
  8. Yes, I entered the command through the Windows install DVD recovery. It said it was successful. I will watch the video soon and report back. Thanks!
  9. There's nothing wrong with them; just something to upgrade if the owner has the money.
  10. 1. Spacebar creates spaces, enter/return runs the command and moves down a line. Nothing really. 2. It's an ASRock UEFI BIOS. 3. Secure boot is disabled. I can't find anything saying "legacy mode" in 5 minutes. Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the response. It is running an ASRock EUFI BIOS. I need to sleep now but tomorrow I'll check the mode and report back!
  12. Hello, I removed GRUB/Linux partitions and used bootrec.exe /fixmbr and it said success. Now when I boot into Windows, all I see is (attached image). It appears cut off. What should I do? (Sorry for lack of detail; I'm quickly writing this from my phone and it's late - I'll add more info at request.) Thanks.
  13. Yes, we appear to have a confused, non-English speaking member here!
  14. I'm not looking for storage capacity, but speed. Also a 1TB drive for $20 would be terrible.
  15. Hello again LTT forums, I'm interested on your thoughts on my ideas here. I plan to run Ubuntu 14.04 from a flash drive, however note that it will mainly be used as a BACK-UP OS, not often running longer than 30 minutes to 1 hour, and only under light use. What I do want is it to be snappy, and I'm sure that can be achieved by the use of an extremely fast USB 3.0 flash drive, such as the SanDisk Extreme 32GG (rated at 245MB/s read) or the SanDisk Ultra Fit (rated at 130MB/s. Extreme 32GB: http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/151177272911?nav=SEARCH I have searched through many reviews and conclude the rated speeds for the Extreme 64/32GB are respectably close to what they claim. Anyway, what are your thoughts on running Ubuntu 14.04 under these conditions on an Extreme from SanDisk?
  16. The benefits outweigh the problems.
  17. Enough juice More like wayy over-juice!
  18. Hello, I was just trying out vBooter to see how long it would take to lag out my router, but I tried it a few times and it didn't do anything (set to my IP address, obviously). Is this just the booter, or is there something else I should try? Any suggestions? Thanks.
  19. Yes, the PSU I checked has that same hole 5 spaces across from the right, therefore I conclude it is normal.
  20. Hey, I'll check out the end of an old PSU for you...
  21. I have it, if I won it, I'd pass it on to a friend or something
