  1. I've refunded like 4-5 games without issues. Of course my own experience won't help in the grand scheme of things, but refunds do work.
  2. So you do see where I'm coming from, right? "Four major storefronts" won't do anything, because then there'll be dozens of other storefronts. Which has already happened. And we already have four major storefronts; Steam, GoG, Origin, and Uplay. Microsoft won't be making a dent into any of these services. It's not going to happen. We tolerated them for almost a decade with GFWL and it looks like they're trying to go that route again. I'm not making a Microsoft account, I have enough accounts to manage and I don't appreciate Microsoft doing this. I understand why they're doing it and they're fully within their right to do so, but I'm not biting. If this is their way to appease PC gamers then I pity everyone who thought Microsoft was going to actually do something great for PC gaming, because this is nowhere near a good thing. You can go suggest it in the forum suggestion thread
  3. And a MS account is not required for Win10. So I don't see your point at all.
  4. Great, another store account to manage. What's the count to now? You know what, let's count it up now. 1. Steam 2. GOG 3. Origin 4. Uplay 5. BattleNet 6. Mojang 7. PerfectWorld 8. DigitalExtreme 9. HumbleBundle 10. GMG 11. NCSoft 12. Rockstar 13. ESO 14. SOE/Daybreak 15. EPIC 16. Nexon And now, #17, Microsoft. I left out quite a bit of other F2P games, but I'm counting everything that is either a store or a launcher, or both. Sixteen accounts I had to make and now manage and remember passwords to. A good 25% of them I have used my CC on. I'm done. I'm not making another account for another shitty service. Every single company, for some reason, needs their own shitty launcher for their shitty service. There's enough "competition" for Steam, and it's obviously not working, so there's no point throwing another client in there for no reason. Good luck Microsoft, but you've got my vote of no confidence right out the gate.
  5. Yikes, that's a little over $400 USD...quite a big price, FreeSync is a nice addition though, but I'd rather wait for the second generation version with a better mount or the other manufacturers making better ones. Really looks like a great monitor so far though.
  6. How did this slip under my radar... Opera is my daily driver, so I don't know how to feel about this... Guess I'll start looking for another web browser just in case I have to jump ship.
  7. Best: CoD4 Worst: Ghost I can't wait for Ghost 2.0 from Infinity Ward later! /s
  8. Did you let it finish downloading? I just downloaded that as well and it installed just fine. The installer should be "34.4MB" big, if not redownload it and try it again.
  9. I use OBS personally, open source and free: https://obsproject.com/ Some people like DXTory, but that's a paid program(I think it's $30-$35 USD IIRC): http://exkode.com/dxtory-features-en.html
  10. I think our main concern(PC gamers), we don't want another GFWL fiasco on our hands. Windows Store is already having a bad reputation for their PC games(lack of options, issues, etc.) while the Steam counter-parts do not have these qualms. Personally I won't ever buy anything from a Microsoft store. I left their ecosystem(Xbox) back in 2012 and I'm not going back in. For me to buy their games they need to put them on Steam(or any other service really) and allow an optional sign-in for Microsoft services. And if that means I'll never be able to play these Microsoft games then so be it, I've been getting along fine these past four years without Microsoft and its games. Hopefully their service is fleshed out and great, otherwise it's GFWL 2.0.
  11. For it be "crossbuy", it'll have to be on the Windows Store and you'll have to use a Microsoft account. GFWL is dead and I don't see them putting on more DRM when selling on other services(Steam). So expect crossbuying to be only available on Windows Store, but if they do release it on Steam then don't expect it to qualify as a crossbuy unless they have a required/optional sign-in to register that purchase on a Microsoft account. I'm hoping it comes to Steam and is an optional sign-in, so we can expect future Microsoft games to do the same(Halo, GoW, Forza, etc.). But this is MS, so I doubt it.
  12. I have no interest in Quantum Break, have never seen anything about it and don't know anything about it. So this doesn't effect me directly, but it does effect me indirectly. I played on the Xbox platform for more than a decade. I started playing on the original Xbox back in ~2000, got a Xbox from my uncle. It was more for my dad since he bought DOOM 3 for it, but he also bought tons of sports and racing games for me and my siblings to play on it. Then Halo came out and I was hooked. I still remember fondly playing co-op with my dad on Halo, then when Halo 2 came out I played so many custom game matches with random people, then Halo 3 I did the same thing. I bought and played on Xbox not just because of Halo, but for the community Halo created. Sadly I dropped the Xbox ecosystem back in 2012 for several reasons; Microsoft not fixing issues, Halo 4 being awful, everything being overpriced, and I knew whatever console coming next won't fix anything. And look at where we are now. Now, I grew up with Halo, I love Halo, and you know what? It seriously pisses me off that I can't play any of the Halo games on PC and have the same experiences I once had not even 10 years ago, all because of "exclusives". MCC on Xbone SUCKS. If it was at least on PC we would have fixed it and made it great, but no, we on PC have to settle for Halo Online and ElDewrito has to build a lot of things from the ground up. Exclusives kill games. Sure, they can keep on re-releasing them on newer consoles, but that's only going to last so long before it turns into crap(MCC). So, from one ex-Xbox player to anyone else, exclusives are not good for anyone, ever.
  13. Looks like a nice, clean keyboard. It is a bit pricey IMO, $160(USD), but you do get a copy of The Division for free(it's inside the box). Supposedly The Division is only going to be bundled with it till March 31st(or really until those bundles run out after March 31st). Also you can buy it on Newegg and Amazon right now(in the U.S. at least).
  14. Just in case no one sees it, the hexagon shapes on the wall lol.
  15. Hopefully it'll be a lot more improved compared to the first. Watch_Dogs has a good premise behind it, but fell really flat and dev/pub support was abysmal. Honestly I doubt this game will be good.
  16. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND there is a Xbox 360 emulator, but same thing, only a handful of games work and it's very pre-alpha. RPSC3 is the PS3 emulator and Xenia for Xbox 360. Again, both very pre-alpha and not user friendly in the slightest, but cool to see how progression is coming.
  17. They are completely different games, Warframe is considered more coop/PvE orientated with tons of grind, and well you already played Warface lol. If I had to pick one, Warframe would get my vote 100% of the time.
  18. Some Indie games I've bought on Steam aren't tied to Steam. By that I mean, you can go to the game's directory and launch the .exe and it'll launch the game without needing Steam to authenticate. So essentially it's DRM-free, but has the advantage of using Steam for updates.
  19. Starbreeze? The same company behind Payday 2 and its filthy microtransactions? No thanks, these devs can't be trusted. Whatever they say, expect them to change their tune a year or two down the line. *Edit, Starbreeze is publishing it, so a little different situation, but I still wouldn't touch it. Starbreeze can't make the right decision for their own games they develop, they won't make the right decisions with the games they publish. Almir can go suck it.
  20. For me, it's always cable management. Either the cables are too long, or too short, or don't want to cooperate. No matter how many times a I build a computer, cables are always the ones that get in the way.
  21. Well for a service that is used all over the world and has millions of users, don't you think it's a better statistic than nothing? Sure, a lot of people don't use Steam, but a lot of people do. Just because not a lot don't doesn't mean that Steam's numbers are irrelevant. Also @SeriousDad69 mentioned "CSGO, LoL and Dota", which two of the three require Steam to even download the game and I don't know a single LoL player who doesn't also have a Steam account. Also where are your sources for the whole "a lot of people" in Poland don't use Steam? Or is this just hearsay?
  22. Wat. http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey Intel graphics are only 18.49% on ALL OF STEAM, and I think that also includes people who don't use Intel graphics but has the ability too. There's over 80% of people who have dedicated GPU's. Over 40% of those 80% of dedicated GPU's are at most 3 generations old(AMD 7000, Nvidia 600). So no, "most" PC gamers have a dedicated GPU and they have a dedicated GPU for a reason.
  23. I know this an extreme viewpoint, but I really have to agree. It's extremely insulting to have to deal with this crap year after year from these same companies that then say "We care about PC gamers". I think I've bought 3-4 times more Indie games in the past 2 years than AAA games, and frankly I don't see that changing anytime soon.
  24. We'll see how this turns out and what kind of experience it can provide. If it goes well then good for Sony, but we'll see how devs/pubs use it.
