  1. not if you look at it properly before you buy it. if you buy a car that needs things doing to it or has bits missing then you have failed to inspect it properly new cars are shit. pre 1980-2005 is where its at i went to see a celica in January this year which was the cheapest on autotrader and it was running on 2cly on the test drive and it was leaking water. other than that it was ok, so i didnt buy it.
  2. clickbait gets views and makes more money yes, but dealing drugs makes more money than normal jobs yet its not really the right thing to do
  3. All videos ever created by linus are click bait. Ever since they moved out of the garage it's all gone downhill
  4. You do realise you can buy a whole car for £500? And they come with number plates
  5. @alltherichafpeopleontheforum i have researched and it would seem 3000-3200 is typical, but cant find what voltage. i would try 1.2-1.25 and see if it catches fire. if it does i guess it should be ok.
  6. It is turning a screw then applying thermal paste and gluing it back together. A 4 year old does these things at nursery on a regular basis. Also yes Intel aren't dumb. They have brainwashed you into thing not getting the full value out of your cpu is a feature by not having it run at it maximum speed all the time therefore loosing free extra performance .
  7. Best way to oc is to delid then run all cores at same speed while temps are 20c cooler than they were at pre delid with the cooler in an ice bucket.
  8. That means it's too slow it is never too fast until it breaks. Then you just need more voltage.
  9. If I plan to keep a pc for 5 years I normally street test it for 5 years to make sure it will last that long and be 100% stable all that time. Also means I never get to use the pc, but who has time for that anyway.
  10. There are 72 % of fan speed between 27% and 100%. Use that area for the fan curve
  11. Why would you spend money on a mining frame when you can go outside and get some sticks and nail them together and make the exact same thing for free lol. Just an extra cost to pay back. Also spending £60 on a pentium when you can get a and om crappy celeron or pentium cpu and board for combo for £60.
  12. no just oc the ram you got might oc to 2933 or 3200 even.
  13. tim spy like fast ram and yours is slow af. like ddr3 speed
  14. yes it really is. you should sell it and get a xeon
  15. I only use it for benching so not much point for me having it that stable. Tbh I run a different speed for most benches to get most out of it. I think most people mean r15 or xtu stable when they say bench stable for a cpu and super pi 32m wazza stable is bench stable for memory. Means it overclocks like a beast
  16. Well on my examples it isnt the case :P. I don't run the i/o cover plastic thing on the Gigabyte board though so that could be where the difference is made up.
  17. The chokes aren't cooled by the vrm heatsink. So I guess that is possible that they would be hotter.
  18. Every bench stable. Wouldn't degrade such a nice chip running stress tests hwbot X265 4k is probably the heaviest. That uses avx I think.
  19. Not on amd chips. The IMC are much more likely to hold the ram speed below 3200 than the board. Even the b350 from msi can do 3200 now. Yeah about that. The difference between thermal shut down and no thermal shutdown. I think the pads on the Asus one are too thick. Might replace and see if it's better.
  20. I have both boards so actually yes. The Asus looks and feels like a £90. Its flimsy af about 2mm thinner than the Gigabyte. The Gigabyte looks way nicer once you take the i/o plastic crap off. Everything on the Gigabyte board feels better and the VRM heatsink stays cooler and it has dual bios and on board buttons there is really no contest tbh.
  21. Nice. J batch so 4.7ghz minimum my 5960x is j batch and does 4.9ghz 1.36v under water ez. Yeah they are all soldered.
