if you use the curve optimiser you can lower the volateg and get higher clock speeds. R23 single

X79 still great platform, cpus extemely cheap now too not amazing but looks about right for stock. depending on your cpu and cooler, the pbo and curve optimiser should get at least 10% more out of it.

the purpose is to pass a test that is all Like start stop was put on almost all cars in the world, purely because some tests the car wasnt moving for 30% of the test, so instead of making the engine more efficient, They literally just turned it off XD The customer who buys the car in 99.9% of cases dont care what comes out the back, they want the most mpg because the mpg directly effects the cost per mile to run the car. The cats and filters are just first world problems, thats why in most countries they dont have them or require them, because being able to afford a car > not having a car and these extra testing cost more and the customer pays for it. If people wanted to buy a car with all these things that make their car slower, less efficient and less reliable thats fine, but most people dont Also all the extra costs to the customer can reduce sales and reduce R&D in areas where the money could have been spent to make the car better for what the customer actually wants, meaning the customer gets a worse car overall. Yes i know a diesel with straight pipe smells really bad because i used to have one. was remapped and has 180bhp vs 155 stock and did an extra 4-8MPG depending on usage. Was the most economical car i've ever owned.
-
thats more economical and more efficient. you dont get more pollution, the pollution that build up in egr, dpf and cat all end up in the air eventually anyway, just not under the stupid unrealistic test conditions that they use to test them At the end of the day the more fuel you burn the more pollution you are making, your just moving it from somewhere you looked to somewhere they arent looking. Its same as dumping your rubbish in land fill vs shipping it to another country and dumping it in their landfill and saying you reduced landfill in your country. Overall you moved the rubbish, which probably created more rubbish in the process Also makes the car more complicated so more likely to be scrapping rather than repaired, and require more cost and more energy to design and make in the first place.
-
straight pipe is more economical because with less restriction on the exhaust you loose less power pushing the gas out.

4.5ghz is really good for a 3600. x58 still going strong good to see you used both

Yeah I will revisit it once the fclk oc is more stable. I have competitions to focus on for now. Yeah that's the 2nd phase cooler I've had that's died now. Luckily they both were very old and used a lot. I would like to get Ln2, but tis always evaporating money into air, which I don't really want to do. I normally only use Ln2 on special events or team meet ups. The phase keeps me going between them.

idk if its a geezers fault or asus. MSI boards seem to be doing much better. I'm even going to go back to the old bios that was stuck at 1900 fclk
