  1. i got my 8320E from amazon and it was the priority shipping so it took 5 days to get here but it only cost $40AUD for the shipping. with the price of the shipping it all depends on where you are shopping and how much you are buying
  2. when it comes to CrossFireX you need to make sure the GPU is the same for example you can crossfire your 280x with a 280. Also with the VRam Mantle already does that and with your 280x you can already use that in games that have the Mantle API in it
  3. idle temps are not the issue. what is the load temps as they are the ones you want to keep an eye on
  4. at that price bracket it would be better to get a high end air cooler as it would out perform a AiO at the same price unless you can get a dual fan AiO at a bargain
  5. i bet you havent had a look at the noctua NF-F12 Industrial PPC 3000RPM http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=80&lng=en&set=1
  6. You could get a card with a reference pcb but aftermarket cooler
  7. im sorry to say that AMD annihilate Intel on the iGPU/on chip graphics. there is no way that Intel can beat AMD on that front. even @LinusTech has done a video on that where AMD beat them on that
  8. I would try and hold out til you can get the kit over the AIO. It will mean your spending less money in the long run
  9. i would use it as a rendering/stream rig as i would like to get into youtube/twitch and also 3D modelling
  10. but that post had no link or source so it was an empty post compared to this one
  11. Try lowering the memory clock as you won't need it that high and you might be able to get more on the core
  12. if your going to do a custom loop you may as well do a CPU and GPU loop as it will look alot cleaner
  13. yeah you are completely fine with mixing companies. The only thing you will need to worry about is getting the same size fitting and making sure you dont mix metals
  14. as it is an expandable AiO you should not have any problems with using a different company block in the loop. You can go to cooling config and see if your card has a block for it and if it does then you can use that one if not then you will have to stay air cooling or try and change for one that has a waterblock available
  15. the fittings i am using are compression fittings and 3/8" is smaller then 7/16" thats the reason im asking as i know it isnt the right size but the OD is the same as the collar would need to fit around it
  16. hey guys i have been trying to find this all over the net and for some reason cant find it. my current fittings are 7/16"ID 5/8"OD and i am wondering if there would be an issue if i used 3/8"ID 5/8"OD tubing with my fittings?
  17. im sorry i know alot of female gamers and they dont care about all this, all they want to do is play the game like in BF4 using C4 to "blow s**t up" back on topic. i really hope EA does see this and let her in on the game development and then if/when the game is a massive failure they can point their fingers towards a person who only knows how to knit pick at the smallest detail of any game and call it sexist. with the whole GTA V thing in Australia i think it is the parents fault for buying their kids the game even tho its a R18+ game.
  18. @alexknipfer you should put up some pics when you do so we can see it. Btw looks good except too much light for me
  19. the R9 290 would be a good match fore either one of those CPUs as im running a R9 290 on my rig with my 6300 and it runs all games well over 100fps on the highest setting (except crysis 3 and it kills all gpus)
  20. my favourite thing is definatly the case as i have the original Eleven Hundred case and i hated the 200mm top fan and now it has support for 240mm rads
  21. the R9 290x isnt the hottest card they just have a higher temperature limit. with the video card as the block is a direct to die cooler compared to the CPU which has a heat spreader which helps spread the heat. i am currently running a R9 290 which had the reference cooler which throttles at 95c but as soon as i put a waterblock on the card i dont even get temps above 53c
  22. considering I think i was the first person who said it was your pump so i think i have been reading these forums. Also i have a custom loop myself and i did have a lower end pump and i know that a better pump will get you better temps. If you think you really need 2 D5 pumps you should google Laing D5 pump performance. The D5 pump is THE BEST pump you can get out of all the pumps out there for water cooling Now with the D5 pumps there is a lot of brands who use the D5 pump with other names for example Swiftech call it MCP655 and Alphacool call it VPP655 as long as it is a Vario D5 pump you are all good
