I actually just installed adrenaline 19.1.1 as well.  I have the RX 570, once installed, it kept turning off my monitors (I have 2 monitors connected to the GPU) after 10 to 20 mins of minimal usage.  I uninstalled 19.1.1 using DDU, and downgraded back to 18.12.3.  It's working normally again, i think this new "updated" driver has so much bugs, I hope they fix it soon.

the was thing is that LMG NEEDS Linus to be a shill for it to work the way it does. YouTube Adsense and Floatplane are a very small portion of their income. Most of their money comes from sponsors, which not only give them loads of money, but also free stuff, from bags of beef jerky to $10,000 USD CPUs. If they want to keep the money coming in to pay for everything they do, they will do their best efforts to keep these sponsors happy (specially the big wads of cash like Intel and Nvidia).

100% agree. IMHO, the only way to get a great Android experience is to unlock the boot loader on a phone and install custom ROMs free of ugly skins and bloatware. I did that with my Zuk Z2.

Since I don’t want to deal with that bootloading unlocking nonesense, I bought a used iPhone 7 for way too much money 6 months ago and I am very pleased with it.

If only phone companies could stop ruining Android with ugly themes and lacklustre updates I would consider an Android.

I buy iPhones because Android is absolute and complete GARBAGE, and Windows Phone is dead. Not to say that iPhone’s are free of criticism.
Edit: I own an iPhone 8 which has served me well for this past year, and I don’t plan on replacing it anytime soon.

Recent ltt videos are shaky af, i mean you aren't making Cloverfield 2 why all those unnecessary camera shakes? Buying an 8k cine camera and just go all in war zone style handheld action? Jeez, i haven't finished watching a single ltt video for months. I do have motion sickness issue but this is unbearable.

Look at other tech channels, Mkbhd, Austin Evans, Hardware Canucks, none of them are doing this handheld nonsense, and Gamersfuckingnexus, they just moved to their new digs recently, compared to your budget their set is jank af but they still managed to stabilise the camera using a bloody lamppost on wheels!

Buy a proper gymbal, steadycam or whatever. Better yet, fire that anonymous cameraguy, and let Dennis or Brandon behind the camera.

ElZamo92 got a reaction from Pickles von Brine in Anyone got some crazy computer repair, networking or IT stories?
I used to work at the IT department at our family business. We had about 50 POS machines all over the country (Mexico), most of them running on REALLY old hardware (most of them were Pentium 4 in 2015), so I was tasked to keep them all in working order since they were all mission critical. This one time one of the stores called me because they needed help with a machine a third party technitian had repaired  before I was given the job. To put it simply, whoever tried to “repair” the old low profile Compaq was an idiot. It originally had a broken PSU (a proprietary one that is no longer made), so this technitian bought the sketchiest ATX PSU I’ve ever seen, disassembled it and bolted it to the side panel with the shroud removed. It was an accident waiting to happen. I carefully discharged the capacitors on this monstruosity and proceeded to move all the internals from the original case to a CoolerMaster case+PSU combo I got from a local store. Thankfully, the only thing that died was the exposed PSU, so it was literally plug and play.

ElZamo92 reacted to CallOfSnowgolem. in What do people hate about Apple?
I say all of this knowing that not ALL people hate apple but it is a very common trait among our community

I find it really annoying when people say they are anti-apple for the most BS reasons like if you can't give an actual reason to be anti-apple, then don't, they aren't this evil company that wants the downfall of everyone, they make some amazing products, and have done some amazing innovation (they did make the smartphone), and I'm not an apple fanboy, far from it. I carry a pixel 2 and think it is many times better than any iPhone, but that's my personal taste,  I say all of this because of this  that I find apple fanboys annoying af also, I think what Louis Rossman said that when an apple fanboy says they are the problem and Apple isn't is also very annoying, but I am saying all of this because I got some much hate for saying on another forum page that I really wanted a MacBook Pro. I say all of this out of love, I love the computer building community, we are some of the most  passionate communities, but from the outside we look like a bunch of assholes, bc it seems like we hate almost every other community other than ours, for example, Apple, counsels, non-android, people who buy pre-built systems. I want this community to grow, but it just doesn't look very appealing from the outside. Sorry if this seems really hateful, I just wanted to address this. so Thanks for reading!

The banner imo is kinda fine
but the logo is a mess

A good logo needs to be :
    1. Simple (not "minimalistic" like people like to say nessesarly. but not overly complicated either.)
    2. Recognisable
    3. Able to stand the changing design eras/styles(edited)
Edit : 4. NOT AMBIGUOUS <-sorta kinda very important

the old one had all 3
    the new one has nothing.

if whoever made it is reading this
sorry to be harsh, but otherwise you won't know the truth.

    ALSO :
Other than the colors, the banner and the logo don't match.

There's no recuring lines, no similarities other than the colors
    and that's just not enough

There’s two things that bothered me about this video. The first one is that they said that ONLY x470 boards get StoreMI, which is a lie since x399 and b450 also have access to it. And the second one is that they Installed Windows in the Optane drive and then used storeMI, when Windows should have been installed in the hard drive.
I think that Linus and co are more interested in making memes and cancer thumbnails than accurate content, specially when channels like Level1techs, Gamers Nexus and Hardware Unboxed do a much better job at these kind of things with a WAY smaller budget.

ElZamo92 reacted to mr moose in Motherboard release another thought provoking video about right to repair
Mother board has released another video around the right to repair issues that are going on in the US (and around the world really), this time focusing on a guy who rebuilds Tesla cars even though Tesla don't want him to.

worth the watch, and worth being open minded and critical about too.

Personally, I think everyone should have the right to repair their own goods, I also feel that companies should have the right to protect IP (not sure how they work together in some cases where computer code comes into question).  Also I am aware that when working with electrics, especially high current devices like these, there is a risk and certain degree of knowledge one should have before taking it on the road.

EDIT: to fix spelling mistakes etc.

I don't know about some but from my perspective as a car guy, any attempt to stifle self-repair is not something that goes well with me.

I think it's agreed upon that cars of today are harder to work on than older ones mostly due to increasing complexity thanks to computers. However, it's not impossible and it's that tinkering that led to the modding scene we see today.

Now, no one (except a few) are going to mod a Tesla, and I don't think Teslas have much you can fix anyway, but I think it's better to have some parts that customers can repair on their own if they choose to, but others like high-voltage circuits should be left only to certified technicians.

FUN FACT: You can't access the engine at all on the McLaren P1 unless you're certified. Why? You run the risk of electrocuting yourself if you attempt to tinker with the engine as it's linked to the electric motor.

I was excited that Apple had finally updated their MacBook Pros so I could upgrade my old MacBook Air that is literally slower than my phone. But they only upgraded the most expensive 13" to a quad core and the 15" models throttle so hard that they are slower than the old ones. Maybe it's time I bought a Windows laptop for the first time in ten years...

I built my first PC in November of 2014 for my birthday.
    CPU: Pentium G3258 (box cooler)
Mobo: Gigabyte GA Z97MX Gaming 5
    RAM: 2x4GB HyperX Rury @ 1600mhz
Storage: 320GB OLD Hitachi 2.5” HDD (scavenged from a dead laptop)
    VGA: Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970
    PSU: Corsair RM750
    Case: Corsair Spec 02

I’ve upgraded it constantly over the years and now it’s almost a completely different machine. In chronological order I added these components: a 120 GB Samsung 840 Evo, a 1TB WD Black a Corsair h80i, an i7 4790k, two more sticks of HyperX Fury, a 2TB WD Green, a Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming, a 250 GB Patriot Ignite M.2 SSD, swapped all case and radiator fans for Corsair ML 120S, a Corsair Spec M2 case, change to Ryzen (R7 1700, 2x8GB Gskill Ripjaws V and Asrock x370 Gaming K4), another Ignite M.2, another GTX 1070,  a DeepCool Captain 240 RGB, and finally two custom CableMod 8pin PCIe braided cables. The only thing that has stayed the same Is the PSU. With the remaining partS I either built other computers for my family or sold them in classified ads or on Segunda Mano (México’s Craigslist).
