Mash DEL as fast as you can from the moment you power on (but do make sure that DEL is the right key, and not for instance F2)

Look for a boot into bios option in the OS, that might work.

See if there's a boot to bios button on your MoBo

    To put it like this...

Your initial post has a point, you'll save money with the i7 option you layed out over the i5 option you layed out.

If you want advice, however, go with the 6700, not 6700k, as it'll save you more money (and not be a waste of a good K-part)

All good things comes to an end. Top Gear died, Archer seems uncertain, Stephen Fry quit QI, IPB theme disappeared, Kyle XY never got a real ending. The list, quite frankly, is long. While I think it's sad that TS seems to be falling apart, it's been a long time since I really enjoyed their content. It's the memory of better days, when Wendell was just a couple of eyes behind a monitor and Logan used WW's offices, that saddens me (I still get nostalgic every time I hear Inferno (aka The Tek intro music)).

Logan strikes me as a guy who can't stay put for very long, maybe even as a guy who starts things and struggles to finish them. It seems to me he got restless.

Considering how Tek Syndicate has evolved, I'm not sure it will make it to that list I mentioned...

I don't mean to get off topic, but Archer was just renewed for an 8th season to premier in January 2017.

Other then that, I do agree with your point.

Good job @Windspeed36 :-D let's hope people read this before asking that old "will this do" question!
On a different note, isn't it a bit strange that the rating system keeps going up in precious metals but then all of the sudden at the top sit good old titanium, which is more of a heavy use industrial metal...

I was thinking of listing Splinter Cell Conviction, which is on uplay :-p but that game was only bad because it wasn't as good as a game bearing the Splinter Cell name should be.
There's been a LOT of really bad racing games... But my vote goes to Halo Wars

I'm thinking about stuff like gestures on the trackpad, integration of the function keys on the keyboard directly into the OS (a lot of third party stuff going on in MS-world here)... stuff like that. With MacBooks there's always the sense that the HW was designed for the OS and the OS was designed for the HW. In windows there's more a feeling of one size fits all.
Plenty of DSLR and mirrorless cameras has WiFi nowadays
For the file transfer - it might be slower to use DB or BT Sync, but how long does it take to transfer spread sheets or word documents anyway?
And lastly, feel your pain bro.

GPU or CPU? If it ends with and X, then it's also overclockable. And if it starts with AMD

This is for people who aren't so full of them selves and their "PC master race" mentality that they can't look behind specs and gaming. This is for people who want a small and portable laptop that does what most people need to do on a computer. This is reflected in the IO everyone bitches about. The only IO I ever see my parents or my GF or my inlaws using, is the power chord. Expand to my brothers, and they'll use the audio jack as well. I will say, I think the adapter for screen/regular USB etc should be included in the price, but once you have that adapter, you'll have to admit, docking your laptop to your desktop setup with only one input that takes care of them all is a pretty neat thing. IMO, in laptops, OSX shits all over windows. Performance isn't the only value to a computer, especially not on a laptop.
Yes, it's a little on the expensive side, for a student it would/should be a hard sell to get this over the MB Air, but assuming there's no tight financial leash, the new MacBook all the way.
I'll probably be getting one in the summer

KaareKanin reacted to mr moose in does apple have the most loyal fanbase?
Not exactly. They have loyal followers sure, like AMD does, like nvidia does, like samsung does.  what they also have is a trend, a fashion like marketing system that makes their products popular outside of basic business tools or tech devices.  They are popular for image, for being a part of an inclusive social structure.  Whether these things are bad or not depends on the situation on a case by case basis.

You can argue until the cows come home that there is nothing special about them, but the truth of the matter is they do exactly what they are intended for, whether the closed wall experience is an issue or not is solely dependent on the user.  Given that majority of phone and pc owners do so for work or as a social tool they don't care about the difference between apple and everyone else, they just want what does the job and are willing to pay more for whatever virtues they feel they get from it.   The only reason their marketing works to separate them from everyone else with huge ques a week before each release is that the product is actually good and caters to the people they market to.

PC Perspective has a review on the CPU (not any computer as a whole) and it seems to be a pretty respectable processor considering the extremely low power rating and clock speed.

The target audience is some one looking for a very portable computer that is doing online work, office productivity, social networking, etc.  Basically everything that an average  consumer would want from a computer.

Gamers and content creators are not the average consumer.  This computer is not made for probably 99.9% of this forum's regular patrons.

If people would take off their anti-Apple glasses and stop drinking all that hater-aid for a minute and look with an objective eye, they'd see that it really is a fine computer.  At face value, yes I'll agree it's a bit expensive, but it's the first of its kind.  Remember how much the first MacBook Air cost?  Look at it now.  Price isn't everything.

I love how this forum works these days... The guy had two criteria for his upcoming purchase, nVidia and 300 dollars. But apparently most people didn't take the whole nVidia part seriously...

To help, if Linus has been trying to teach us something lately, it is that buying used can be a good thing... if you can get a 970 for the money, you should be golden!
    edit:

Why do you jump right to fanboyism? Having a preference has nothing to do with being a fanboy. He might like the company better, he might like whatever features nVidia has, value comes in a lot more measures than performance. Let the man have his own preference...
