  1. This is what my mouse cursor currently looks like > https://i.imgur.com/rzyi6MI.jpg It's all fucked up, tried turning trails on and off, but it just comes back to this
  2. I feel like it shouldn't be any backlight-bleed on such a "high-end" monitor. So there aren't really any 1440p 165 fps 27" IPS monitors without backlight bleed that you know of?
  3. But that's just any prebuilt PC you can buy :^)
  4. So I've just received my third monitor. It also has backlight bleed. Should I give up on this monitor and get my money back, or am I really unlucky?
  5. It's hard to capture with a picture, but here it is. This is the bottom left corner of the screen. There is some in the top right corner as well Oh, and one more thing. Is the "flashing colors screensaver thing" supposed to be set to on by default?
  6. "Every PG279Q sold in North America must pass a visual inspection in a darkened environment before it’s shipped to a vendor." Well I live in Norway, so maybe that's why? "IPS glow should not be confused with backlight bleed, which occurs when light spills out from the border of the display. Backlight bleed is confined to specific points on the perimeter, and it’s usually uneven. The bright spots are static and don’t shift with your view like IPS glow." It's definitively backlight-bleed.
  7. Hey My first PG279Q had backlight-bleed so I sent it back and got a new one from the retailer. I've just discovered that this new one has it too, so I'll be sending it back soon. How common is this? And take a bet on how many times I'll be sending it back before I get one without it.
  8. I'll try diskmgmt, thanks. Lol that would be funny. You know what? That reminds me, maybe I'll test it on my laptop just to be sure. Thanks.
  9. Hey (I'm using Windows 7, I've tried all USB ports 2 and 3). I've come across a strange problem with my external HDD (Toshiba). When I connect the HDD to my comuter the drive shows signs of working normally (sound and blinking light), but I don't get any popups on my PC. I can then only google stuff and get results, but when I try to open a webpage I only get "This site can’t be reached linustechtips.com took too long to respond. Try: Checking the connection Checking the proxy and the firewall Running Windows Network Diagnostics ERR_TIMED_OUT" The HDD does show up under computer as Local Disk (E:) though, but when trying to access it the green bar at the top loads slower and slower when nearing the end and then... Still nothing after an hour. It just gets infinitely slow.
  10. Hey Can someone point me to a place where I can download Windows Movie Maker? Whenever I try to search for it I only end up at dead ends or versions where they beg you to pay or register for the "full version" or whatever. If you can't find it either; would you please recommend me something very similar and for a casual? I can't be bothered to install a cracked Sony Vegas 13... Thanks
  11. I turned off Intel xHCI Mode, and some other stuff which I can't even remember what was called and now it works. Thanks!
  12. Whenever I try to a system image recovery the mouse and keyboard don't work. I can't continue to do it because for some reason they don't even power on. They're plugged into the USB 2 ports on the motherboard and I've tried every port on the motherboard and even on the case. They don't power up at all. There's a PS/2 port but I don't have an adapter or a PS/2 keyboard to try. (ASUS Maximus VII Formula motherboard)
  13. Norwegian here too! Went for the PG279Q btw. It's currently being looked at as I sent it back due to some backlight bleed
