  1. 12 Core 6 GHz 75W TDP? I call BS, but if this is true GG AMD, RIP Intel.
  2. The M500 only has a 72TB max write/rewrite cycle even on it's largest drives. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148696
  3. Between those 2 the i3 by far but your better off with an fx-6300 with a cheap 970 board.
  4. I said much more. You wont come anywhere near 6gb. Hence why a titan barely beats a 780 in 4k benchmarks.
  5. Yes but the titan is NOT xapable of using 6gb of vram in gaming is not powerful enough. Why cant u understand that? A titan is a 780 qith 3gb more of vram and professional application abilities turned on. The Titan is a hybrid cars designed to do professional work that can use the vram but game. Professional cards like quardos cant game b.c they lack horse power. But professional apps can use vram w.o horse power. Games on the other hand need both to scale linearly relatively. The titan CANNOT use much more than 3gb of Vram in a gaming setting. 6gb gaming cards in the future will be FAR more powerful than a titan.
  6. Better be, I just bought the 850 version for my friends setup.
  7. OKay, in 2013 even sandforce based SSD's are fine. The quality has gotten MUCH better due to vastly improved firmware however samsung... Manufactures their own: Nand flash (they keep the best for themselves) Designs their own controller Writes their own firmware It's just awesome!!!
  8. For that price you can get an XFX 750W 80+ Gold PSU that is a seasonic OEM, not sure of the lower tier PSU's from corsair are seasonic OEM's
  9. Remember Vram isn't additive, each card renders every other frame independently of each other. You're gonna have trouble with a Titan even and a good example is Metro Last Light @ 1440p @ 8x AA. They both hit about 3GB of Vram usage POST patch and they both put out the SAME FPS within 2-3% of each other.
  10. 9/hr tech support for dell anyone? Now if you get your certs you're golden!!
  11. As stated earlier, you will bottleneck the card FAR before you hit much over 4GB of Vram in a gaming setting. Skyrim only uses 2GB of vram if you're using a 660 ti which has a 192 bit bus or some very inefficient or terrible mods.
  12. First of all, learn about basic concepts before you try and match someone who has dedicated over 2500 hours of research on CPU and GPU architecture and execution and over 25 write ups published in the tech world. Did you know more memory bus means less Vram used? That's because it can process textures more efficiently and doesn't rely on Vram for storage as much between frames rendered. The titan cannot utilize 6GB of Vram in a gaming setting. It does NOT have the horse power required to render textures at that level. However, 3d Rendering can use a TON of Vram without using a lot of horse power. Noctua NH-D14 is too heavy to ship Why go with a higher tier board if he doesn't need the features it has? Spend money wisely Also I was wrong, he is going to be using a 2560x1600 monitor for gaming and a 2560x1440 monitor as a second screen my mistake. I linked the guys profile that I am making the PC for.
  13. If I remember correctly it takes up most of 1 room inside of his 7600 sq ft house.
  14. He wantes to cap it at 4k after he pays me. Remember a titan cannot use more than 3gb anyway. The titan is made for professional applications and gaming. There r programs that can use 6gb of vram but don't need the gpu horse power Unlike games.
  15. Not sure if its a 4x6 core or 2x6 w. Hyperthreading. Its huge ive seen it once.
  16. Also the dark knight II is lighter than an evo 212 which is why I selected it,
  17. Shipping that is a BAD idea. He doesn't want maintenance . No he has 1.2 Pentabyes of storage on his home Mac server,
  18. This is him: https://www.facebook.com/john.blankenship.7921?fref=ts Good friend of mine, races super late model, nascar nationwide and runs several businesses. No AIO because of shipping and he wanted air cooling. No HDD because he has 1.2 Pentabyte's of storage on his mac server No extreme CPU because that would push me over budget and in territory that I do not know much of yet from personal experience. Playing on 2560x1440x3 you need GPU more not more CPU power. As I would have needed an I7-3960x and I don't know LGA 2011 sockets that well.
  19. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1nuX5 Building for a rich friend of mine. He was in town a few weeks ago and said, I am tired of hearing how amazing your PC is, build me something that is baller and better than yours in every way. He wants the ability to OC down the road, but wants it stock for the time being. He will be gaming on a 2560x1600 monitor with a 2560x1440 aux monitor. The 512GB SSD is for windows+a few games, the 256GB is for linux and programming. I am jelly, but at least I get to play with it for awhile. He emailed me the order confirmation, it's on its way to my house. He's a tech guy perfectly capable of building a PC, but he believes PC's carry deadly diseases and thinks Macs are godlike. He has a 24 core mac server with 1.2 pentabytes of storage at his house that he build LOL.
  20. I think most MLC flash ssd's have 2000-3000 cycles.
