The motherboard is a ECS P67H2-A3. I updated the bios and it would only show the bios screen and would shut off after 20 seconds. I can’t even access the bios settings. When I try my old gtx 560 it works just fine booting into windows even. I tried the GTX 970 in my brothers computer and it works as intended. I’ve tried two different power supplies with the same issues. I would prefer not to revert to the old bios version because I like the features. Is there some setting in the bios that needs to be changed to get the gtx 970 to work. ECS P67H2-A3 Asus Gtx 970 Cx500/Evga500B (tried both) i7-2600k

I just updated the bios on my ECS P67H2-A3 and it boots and then shuts down afters 20 seconds. When I say boots I mean just shows the bios screen. If I press the delete key it says entering setup but still shuts down. It used to not boot at all until I removed some ram. I’m guessing my bios is toast and I need a new mobo. Oh yeah specs asus gtx970 i7-2600k p67hs-a3 cx500

That was close. It was possible that that could have fried the board. Random power coming where power should be going out.

Unplug that, it was probably the issue. A tip for future reference, don't plug in things because they happen to fit. Plug them in because you know that it needs to be plugged in.

There's a floppy connecter to the motherboard like oskarha said. That's the issue.

A rx480, But sometimes you can find R9 Fury's for very cheap. Those are fantastic.

I'm looking into buying a lens for astrophotograghy. The Rokinon 10mm f2.8 is the option I'm leaning towards, specifically because I have a camera with a canon aps-c sensor and the wide angle will compensate for the crop. But the 14mm f2.8 is very popular. The 16mm f2.0 has the highest astro lens score (learn more here) for roughly the same price as either option. But again I'm on an aps-c sensor so 16mm seems a little high for astrophotography. I'm just wondering what I should spend my money on. Rokinon 16mm f2.0 Rokinon 10mm f2.8 Rokinon 14mm f2.8
