someonesim's Achievements

  1. Currently using Logitech G502 mouse, Razer BlackWidow Stealth keyboard, Logitech Z2300 speaker and Steelseries QCK Mass mousepad.
  2. Currently 660ti, so a massive upgrade to RX 480 will be awesome. Now hand me the card, no delay.
  3. Wish to gift my mum with wireless speaker, for her time in kitchen preparing our delicious meal. http://goo.gl/z7PSju
  4. Disassembled my rig. That mirror finish  All in new rig, however I underestimate graphic card height and overestimate length of tube. In the end, it's a bit too tight ( had to remove tube, install graphic card, then connect back tube ), and side panel will not fit  Quite cramp at back chamber, although it didnt matter as no air flow required. After hours of disassemble and redesign layout, it's all good now with new and final layout.
  5. Finally completed water loop and no leak so far B) Also done some photo processing Cut off protruding feed. Bitspower compression fitting and bulb fitting. Dual spanar to help with super tight fitting. Asrock Z77pro4-M motherboard fitted. EK DCP 4.0 pump sits at back chamber. First attempt and layout, looks good but . . . . ( see below ) Thankfully I got an external hardrive power adapter to power pump. Ready to fill water for test run. Not good . . . . reservoir itself are leaking. Thanks to not-so-detail Bistpower reservoir that doesnt warn about O ring fitting, which I thought was the extra replacement since it was including in packaging. Bowl to collect leaked water. Put in O ring to reservoir and all run well now. Project wasnt complete yet, need to fit rest of my rig's component., and then disaster
  6. Finally finished water cooling part, on 3rd attempt/layouts. Runs fine overnight, hopefully got time to process some more photos.
  7. Weekend project started Corsair Air 240 white casing. Naked Bitfenix Spectre Pro white fans, able to separate out. EK radiator + Bitspower bulb fitting for water inlet. Flushing radiator, cleaning out some leftover debris. (Sorry for dirty toilet) Flushing reservoir. Flushing CPU block. All flushed and clean. Radiator not compatible with the case no matter how I change orientation. Not so easy to hang reservoir on top, thanks to not-so-90mm-friendly top panel. Using double sided tape to station radiator. Protruding feet. More photos to come, BTW water cooling setup done, doing water leak testing now.
  8. Couldnt find distilled water ( look around few shops nearby already ), bought reverse osmosis water instead. Couldnt get coolant as well, so I planned to replace the water when I got my hands on coolant and distilled water etc weeks later.
  9. Hi guys, been follow LinuxTechTips youtube for long time but didnt participate in forum. Have ceased hide my PC nerd side for 2 years now, only had upgrade graphic card and SSD during these 2 years, and now I've finally fed up with noise my rig making ( and that huge ugly looks ). So I done a little research on Haswell-E and immediately give up. Processor + motherboard + DDR4 will cost me close to 1K USD, so I will hold the processing upgrade for now and proceed for yearly graphic card upgrade early next year. Further more, I do not feel  I need more processing power now, current rig with 2500K + 8GB DDR3 is more than enough to handle games, just the aging GTX660Ti  cant handle CODAW anymore. It leave me with case and cooling upgrade option, so I decided to go small and quiet. Casing took me few days of non-stop research, initially decided on Bitfenix Prodigy, but ITX cant fit my graphic card + sound card, then I opt for Prodigy M but that tiny case really gave my headache on water cooling planning. At last I came across Corsair Air 240 while researching at computer shop and I immediately fall in love with the dual chamber design, small case looks from side and front to top grill design. Although been PC builder for years, I had no experience with custom water cooling setup ( AIO doesnt count ) so another few days of researching ( such happy hours ). Wanted to go for water cooling kit from XSPC Raystorm Photon V3 kit etc, however price and availability had me think twice. In the end I just visit local shop (Kuala Lumpur) famous of custom PC and WC rig. http://www.apes.my/ and hand picked parts I needed, best decision ever. It cost less than 350USD while having relatively good parts (much better than I imagine). Current rig: Intel i5 2500K ( still stock ) Kingston Hyper-X DDR3 1600 4GB x 2 MSI P67A-GD55 MSI GTX 660Ti Corsair A50 Cooler Master CM690 ( yes 1st gen  ) Cooler Master GX550 Dell U2312HM, LG L196WTQ Kingston V+300 120GB, WD CaviarBlack 1TB, WD 640GB, SG 160GB Upgraded rig: Asrock Z77pro4-M ( need to swap into M-ATX for Air 240 case ) Corsair Air 240 white Bitfenix extension cable white color Custom water cooling: EK Supremacy EVO nickel CPU block EK DCP 4.0 pump EK Coolstream PE 240 radiator Bitspower Water Tank Z-Multi 150 reservoir Bitfenix Spectre Pro white x 2 fans Primochill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT UV green 3/8" tube Bitspower fitting Finally received last piece of my upgrade ( Air 240 ) today, will start assembly tomorrow ! ! !
  10. Wow, quite a dream built for me. Wanted upgrade to X99 + DDR4 but price just for processor mobo and DDR4 cost almost 1K USD so have to hold it till price drop.
