I'll be interested to see how they differentiate the note 8 from the S8+. I have an S8+ and I can't see how they can make it any bigger without getting ridiculous. So slap a pen and dual rear camera on it and call it a day?

I see how there is an emphasis on showing that this is more powerful than the PS4 Pro. But like all tech, there will always be something more powerful right after it. This just means Sony will most likely throw the next punch and one up this in the next year or so. This could very well be the start of incremental updates on consoles. They need to just make them modular (PC) already so the important stuff can be swapped without buying a whole new box every friggin year. Scorpio is not worth it to me as Microsoft already releases everything on PC anyways and my GTX 1080 is already more powerful than this

LG G6 is coming out two weeks earlier and has Dolby Vision and HDR10 support, so this is just marketing speak. They aren't the first, they'd just like to believe they are.

Hopefully my 1080 can muster around 60fps in 1440p ultra..... I wasn't planning on buying at launch anyways. Dear god is my game backlog large, better to wait for a sale. It will hopefully have been patched a bit by then.

Just my opinion, but I farking hate how the curved screens look and the idea of having wrapped screens in general, so ugly. -
The MSI looks identical to my regular 1080, must be raiding the same parts bin.

Best card for 1440p for the next 4 years?
No Nrg replied to LyricalRain018's topic in Graphics Cards
I have a 1080 and am pushing maxed settings (except crazy AA settings) at well over 60fps currently in 1440p. Its more card than you need for mid/high settings at 1440p 60hz now, but in a year or so who knows. I'm part of the "get the best you can afford" group. No reason to skimp and then have to upgrade again in a year. I say get the 1080 now and enjoy maxing everything with out worry for a while until games catch up, then ride it until you have to start compromising settings to keep 60fps. I doubt though that you'll be able to stretch 4-5 years without compromise. -
I've had two G4's boot loop on me. It was annoying but quickly fixed under warranty. I love my G4, it's been a great phone otherwise. I'll hold judgment on the G6 until I read some actual reviews instead of calling it a failure after reading a single page spec sheet. I'll be shopping the G6, S8 and HTC Ultra this year; we'll see who comes out on top.

I have a 1080 already and it's more power than I need in most games at 1440p max settings. At least I have a 144hz monitor to use the extra frames I'm getting. 1080ti would be overkill in current system. Might consider when I build my 4K HTPC Superbeast if Volta isn't out by then.

Having Trump say anything positive about your company can snowball into a negative publicity shitstorm. I wouldn't call it an advertisement per se.

Will the price of the 1080 drop if the 1080ti launches?
No Nrg replied to Kenji the Uke's topic in Graphics Cards
Using Rise of Tomb Raider as example. I can run it max settings plus 2x SSAA and get around 50fps, lower quality FXAA or SMAA nets higher frames. Go on Techpowerup, Techspot, HardOCP, Guru3d or any number of benchmark sites and find a 1080 benchmark review. It will give you a general idea of what it's capable of
