  1. ...also the environmental cost of producing these electric cars is significant. The idea is to move in the right direction, towards cleaner production and manufacturing... instead of denying evidence and ignoring/repealing regulation. It does not have to happen all at once.
  2. I bought a 240GB SSD for my system, over three years ago. I paid $150. About six months ago I felt it might die soon, so I bought another 240GB SSD as a backup. This way I don't have to go back to a HDD in case my current SSD starts to fail. The new one is still in it's packaging. I thought you said it was $200 (NZ) for a 500GB SSD. That would be a good price.
  3. A friend of mine got a Z68/Z77 Sabertooth (New Egg) for like $140 open box. That was big savings back then. It worked out, he got lucky. It was P76.
  4. Oh geez... thank you. Well: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/wMLypg/msi-motherboard-h81mp33 http://pcpartpicker.com/product/Drdqqs/msi-motherboard-h81me33 ... http://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#s=24&sort=a8&page=1
  5. Dude, for like $10... buy new: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/WXyxFT/asrock-motherboard-h110mhds I have had great experiences with open box items. I had people I know get great deals on more expensive things like high end mobos. For such a low cost item, I would spend the extra $10.
  6. Huh? My suggestion is a more advanced "remote"... you know?.. similar to the remote you suggested.
  7. How about you stick with believing Louie Gohmert's take on the human effects on the environment, and I will stick to listening to guys like Nye? I can settle for that. It is what you are telling me. If I saw that someone had responded to you, I would not have. I know it is pointless because I am not willing to put the effort, and your argument does not deserve debate. Really, it has no place here. You yourself say that you don't know who's right; that's a shame. Why would you take such a stance then? Why can you not see the value in such findings and be accepting of a migration away from what may very well be harmful to us? It does not have to be economically destructive. There is an inherent benefit to optimizing how we do things. Why is it that lead in gasoline is not a thing anymore? How did non-scientific, or scientifically illiterate, people accept the findings that lead was hazardous when pumped out of a vehicles exhaust? They did not do the scientific work. Maybe we can use smoking cigarettes as an example... IDK... what are you missing here? You claim there is all this money to be made by ecologically conscious-minded entities from this climate change hoax, that alone makes me wonder. It really sounds like a causation/correlation thingy you reference. As for the military spending part, I struck that out a while ago... well before you posted. I know that was wrong.
  8. We pump more CO2 into the air than the earth can deal with. This causes a cumulative rise in CO2 density in our atmosphere. CO2 density traps the heat of the sun in our atmosphere. The earth gets warmer. How about we do what you say and continue to limit, and minimize, the amount of CO2 that we throw into the air; then we can measure the difference in temperature in comparison to the decreased CO2 density year after year, decade after decade. Right now, we get to see the opposite. Why is the anti-science way the only way to prove a concept? Should deniers of science/math, or the scientific illiterate, be considered as sources to make an argument? 'Look I just made a snowball, because it is cold outside. Climate change is a hoax.' <<Nutters in gov't. The biggest mistake people make is taking these people seriously. There is no argument, the debate was done decades ago... between scientists. We are now seeing what side was right. Get with the times. I am sure you have no problem with the new funding of the US military to the tune of a $54B add-on... because terrorism, support our troops, fight for freedom. <<<I don't know this... I'm tired... that money could have went into the education of US citizens, a real investment. People called Sanders crazy.
  9. A GTX 1070 is a bit much for 1920x1080. I only posted the build to show you what that type of PC that budget should buy. I added another build with the GTX 1070.

  11. With Kabylake, the B250/H270 support up to 2400MHz. The Ryzen motherboards support as far as the IMC (Integrated Memory Controller) can go... as do the Z-Series Intel boards. Skylake (H110, B150, H170) support up to 2133MHz.

  14. lol, I only stream for my niece... she liked MC. So I streamed from early stage to dragon. My sound was messed up on the first stream. I was talking to her on the phone. I forgot I am running this on a server, on the same PC... so that is another core gone. @ivan134 I set it to the dragon fight... the 40 minute dragon fight... lol... if you are tremendously bored.
  15. The 1050Ti will be the limiting factor when playing games at higher quality/60FPS. You will have to tinker with settings for any demanding title... Trust me, I spend around 10 minutes with each game to get my settings just right.
  16. You don't have to tell me. I have been using a 240GB SSD in my PC for three years now. I would never go back. I don't even keep my storage drives in my PC anymore. @Ahajha Using an SSD makes an immediate impact on the general performance of the PC... from the moment you turn it on.
  17. I don't play at 30 FPS... my stream is outputting at 30FPS to Youtube. My game is locked at 60FPS.
  18. I think my builds are more than he wants to spend on the tower. He'll probably drop the SSD and the RX 480 for a GTX 1050Ti.
  19. The i5 for just streaming is fine, but gaming and streaming might not be so fine. I have not tried "ReLive" streaming, but I would assume it would have some perfomance taken away from the GPU as it is based on using the GPU to record and stream. For $100 more, the i7 or Ryzen 1700 is a good investment for your purpose. I am limited to 720p/30PFS streaming when playing Minecraft and streaming to YouTube. I encode on the CPU though. So that's: The game (Minecraft), the encoding, and the viewing of the stream on a second monitor all on the CPU.

  21. Every class for two years because I stopped going to class. Actually, I passed OAC level (final year) biology with like a 20% attendance rate. I just went into exams for the fun of it. I think the teacher liked me. She could have failed me just for the lack of attendance. When I did attend class, I did fine. I struggled most with 11th grade mathematics iirc. Graphing a curve and quadratic equations. Again, I was not going to class often enough, and was definitely not doing the work. Got like a 60% grade. Honestly, I regret those years. High school was easy, I was being an idiot.
  22. It was probably not selling and the price was probably similar to the EVO . Most people would go with the EVO. This low cost seemed so odd... but I don't complain about that much.
  23. Thanks. I did not notice this. I better stop recommending it then.
