  1. Yeah but do realize that this is the SSD I'm currently booted into windows with so it varies.
  2. Welp I can't open CDM probably lol, but the last time I did a test from a different SSD, using this one as a non-boot drive, it was around 420/380. (Read, write)
  3. The only thing is that I completely re-installed it, went into settings and factory reset the OS.
  4. Okay, so I am having a huge problem with Windows 10 right now. Actually a few. I need answers ASAP. Problem # 1.) When I boot into Windows and enter my password, it takes over a minute to load my desktop (Yes, I have an SSD) Problem # 2.) When I finally get to my desktop, I can't open my start menu. If I click it, my entire task bar freezes and I can't click anything, even the icons on the right. Problem # 3.) After the task bar freezes, some icons on my desktop disappear. Seems that it's only the shortcuts that disappear. This is creating a HUGE problem for me since I do photography, and I DO NOT need to have missing icons and non-responsive task bars. Also, once the task bar freezes, I can't even open PC settings, access CMD, or Task Manager. Absolutely nothing. I just tried fully resetting it, still didn't do anything. But, if I have an application already open, it works fine. (No problems at all with Windows 7, though) Here are the specs for my machine: MSI Z8-G41 PC MATE Core i7 4790K 32GB Crucial DDR3 Kingston 240GB SSD (almost brand new) 2x2TB WD Red (Raid 1) Geforce GTX 750Ti FTW Sentey 850W 80+ PSU Please help. I need some answers ASAP. Thanks, Cameron Lasley
  5. My production server has 4 Kingston 240GB Solid State drives lol. I don't think a regular gigabit network will be enough. 10 gigabit is more like it, as each drive is capable of 500+ MegaBYTES per second.
  6. I need to make sure they work directly. There is only one server I need 10G on. The rest run off of a gigabit network. Linus did that when they first went 10G, just hook the two up directly with some daisychaining. Any YouTube videos on that? Thanks
  7. Hello, I am wanting to use a 10G SFP+ ethernet solution for my computers and my production servers. Here is the 10G SFP+ card I am wanting... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mellanox-ConnectX-2-Single-Port-SFP-10GBE-Network-Card-MNPA19-XTR-/271934252546?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f508b6602 If I buy two of these, can I just connect the two together, plus some daisychaining, and have a 10GBe link to my server? I am not familiar with SFP+ and fiber networking yet. Is there any additional things I would need other than a 10G switch? Please help! -Cam
  8. The CPU will not immediately overheat. My FX-8320 (which I got for a bargain out of a gaming computer I bought for $100) will not automatically shut itself off. I measured the temperature of the heatspreader as I turned the PC on and it takes at leas 15 seconds for it to get to 160 degrees. Unlike Intel, AMD CPU's will not really turn themselves off due to overheating. I have heard of those chips getting anywhere up to 220 degrees before it just finally starts destroying itself.
  9. Hello, I am in need of some help... My office is about a mile away from my house. We are re-doing the network configuration and adding in new firewall devices etc. because we had a cyber attack and they were able to access some of our data somehow. I am wanting to use my proxy server (CCProxy) machine that is at my house for all of my office's data to pass through. How and what do I do to configure it so that all of our network traffic passes through that machine along with our all new VPN router? P.S.: Home internet speed: 126.6 down, 24.7 up. Office internet speed: 102.5 down, 24.4 up. Any help appreciated! Cameron Lasley
  10. I have been using this username for everything since Linus has been such a huge inspiration in my technology interests.
