  1. Oh I see you have 8GB RAM, all say it is 'enough', but is it enough in the way that is is just 'enough' or is it that you won't be able to tell the difference from 16GB? thx
  2. Ok thank you all for your answers and time ) I will go for Ranger in the end, Have a good one!
  3. Well actually they are not the same. Ranger will run SLI in PCIe x8, while the Hero can do full x16. And while this does not mean a lot in the real world, is is definately worth mentioning. Thank you (:
  4. Hey guys I am looking at a new Z97 motherboard and wanted to ask if any of you had/has the ASUS Maximus VII HERO or RANGER. Also, MSI Z97 MPower comes to play. Tell me if you have any experience with these mobos and also, if you think there is a mobo I should know about, let me know. Thx
  5. I would start upgrading my current PC, add an X99 motherboard and a nice, new GTX-980 or two
  6. Ok, man thank you I guess I am thinking about it a bit too soon, but I can't get it now because I am not in my country (5 months 'business' trip) and won't be back until the end of March, which sucks, #ratherbegaming Anyway, the reason I don't want to 'stick' with Z97 chipsets is because the whole X99 setup will not cost me a lot more, but will give huge advantage in the future. I am pretty sure The Witcher 3 will take care of those extra cores! I was considering the Z97 chipset with LGA2011 socket, but because the 6 core processor for that is 170 bucks more, I think it would be pretty stupid. But good point about the Broadwell! Thanks again
  7. Gaming 99% working 1% I don't know what it is, but I just love it's looks. Yes, a lot of people say Phanteks and 780T from Corsair is another one I really like. 760T I don't, it looks so unstable haha
  8. Do you guys have any experience with CM Cosmos SE case? Is it any good? What case would you recommend for this http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/fc3k8d I've seen a lot of positive things about Enthoo Pro, but I don't like it, looks really cheap.
  9. Wow Linus wasn't kidding, this is a great forum! )) Well I will use it 99% gaming, 1% working Exactly! The i7-5820k is about 50GBP more expensive, so I might as well just get it. I don't think it's an overkill for gaming... I mean BF4 is the only one benefiting from more cores and faster RAM, but with those crazy games like The Witcher 3 in 2015 that is going to change! And with time, games will start taking advantage of them. Recommended specs for pretty much all AAA games state 'quad-core'. What do you guys think about the rest? I am a bit unsure about the case, Cosmos SE didn't exactly get best reviews, but I just LOVE IT! Looks so killer!
  10. Hello everyone! So I will be building a new PC (been playing on PlayStation for quite a while, screw that I am coming home). I will be building it around March, becuase I really want to take my time, I love this planning part! This is my 'default setup' http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/sv7HrH So the question is; i7-4790K ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO Corsair 16GB 1866-2400 DDR3 RAM EVGA Nvidia GTX 980 (future two-way SLI upgrade) OR i7-5820K MSI 99S MPOWER ATX LGA2011-3 Corsair 16GB 2400 DDR4 RAM EVGA Nvidia GTX 980 (future two-way SLI upgrade) Future plans: as mentioned, I will get another GTX 980 and run them in two way SLI mode, in voth cases AND I will get a 4k display later next year and start playing dem games in 4k (I will also get the other GTX 980) So I know that the first option is more than enough for gaming right now, but with the second being the next evolutionary step, with ddr4 and the entry level 6-core, I will have to upgrade sooner or later. Also, if you have anything to say about separate parts, I will be happy to hear it! Thank you guys
