Because my local 7/11 is just across the street. The fear of death does not outweigh the craving for some jerky, chips, and a drink.

I conceal carry an XD-m and a fixed blade, like a karambit or tanto, behind my belt. I don't really fear anything at night though, except for coyotes.

I think you should change the law so that 10y/o also easily can carry weapons with them everywhere they go. That will make everyone feel so much safer. /s

@FloRolf You do realise that kids used to be able to hold firearms in the 60s and 70s, right? People use to even bring them in for show-and-tell. The only difference between this generation and the one that I just mentioned is mindset and maturity, form what I've seen...

It's also employment, political climate, and prospects. It was easy in the 60's and 70's to have a min wage job and still be set for good growth, college, and housing. There's also the issue where everything these days is answered by the use of violence, whether it's war or socioeconomic issues.

@ARikozuM (my view on the matter you just mentioned) All of what you just mentioned is controlled by the mindset of the people. People voted these newer laws into existence. People's buying habits (facing ever toward massive consumerism) changed the markets and their focus. Schools and psychological institutions that were meant to help, no longer do so - because people tore them down too. People's tendency toward violence is a change in mindset as well. People do this to themselves, and their actions affect others over time. Not the rich, the poor, or the middle class. Everyone.
