fun fact: logitech unifying receiver not only works with the device that you bought it with but you can make it pair with other unifying devices

I have a bunch of random logitech things collected over the years because lost the receivers and well I can use them now

    logitech unify is in a sense like a proprietary hardware level paired bluetooth, any devices that have the logo can be paired with any unify receiver, and they stay paired even when you carry the receiver along to other devices.

    I did a review on one of their products that didn't use  said tech. It was a massacre, to say the least ?

    Yes this has been a key selling point for many years now.  Probably why they call it unifying tbh

    And even though it takes up a port I will always prefer systems like this to bluetooth.  Bluetooth has to be paired, be supported, etc. but these things work exactly how you would expect something to work if you just plugged it in with usb - no pairing, works in the bios, etc., just, with no cable.

    @Ryan_Vickers why not both?

    the MX Master 2S and MX Anywhere 2S both allow pairing both bluetooth and unify, and allow pairing up to 3 of them. they even have a piece of software that switches the mouse to another input when you slam it towards the side of your screen. kind of like synergy but on the actual mouse rather than the PC side.

    Well, yeah both is best of both worlds, but if I had to choose...
