  1. So far, I've been recommended: AMD r9 280 Nvidia 750TI Nvidia 970 Nvidia 770 I'm really not sure which one to get. Will all of these graphics cards play the game on max settings in conjunction with the other components?
  2. There isn't really a particular budget as he is willing to spend whatever money needed for a graphics card to play the game on max settings.
  3. I will be building a gaming PC specifically to play flight simulator X for a friend of mine. He will be playing on a single, 1080p monitor and will not be playing any other game. Also, he wants to play on max settings I am unsure on which graphics card to get for the build although I've heard many say that AMD cards aren't as good as Nvidia for Flight Simulator X. Here are the current specs: Intel Core i7-4790k 4.0GHz Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3 ATX Corsair Vegeance 1gb RAM (2 x 8GB) Kingston V300 240GB SSD WD 1TB Hard Drive Corsair CX 600w PSU Zalman Z9 Case Which graphics card would you recommend for this build to play Flight Simulator X on max settings? Also, are there any of those components you would change?
  4. Here are the PC components I'm going to buy for a build 8GB Kingston 1600Mhz RAM Corsair Builder Series CX 430w PSU MSI B86M-G43 Motherboard Western Digital 1TB Caviar Blue Intel Pentium G3220 CPU Fractal Design Core 1000 Does the motherboard I've chosen have an integrated graphics chip, because I'm pretty sure it does not, therefore will the integrated graphics in the intel pentium work with this motherboard using the dvi, hdmi and vga port in the back of the mobo. Thank you
  5. Me and my friend have completedbuilding a computer but the only thing not inside is the graphics card. We have made the dexcision to get the AMD 7850 and there is 2 we are looking at: SAPHIRE: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11200-14-20G-Card-HD7850-GDDR5/dp/B008HV63F0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375964157&sr=8-1&keywords=saphire+7850 MSI: http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-R7850-DDR5-PCI-E-Graphics/dp/B00ACHDL5M/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1375964244&sr=1-2&keywords=msi+7850 We want to know which is one is the fastest and the quietest, I assume the saphire is the fastest since it says OC.
  6. The 7990 is £110 as said in the post. The Nvidia 650 ti Boost is £125 and the AMD 7850 is £120.
  7. So I did a post over at the build log section of the forums and a lot of you guys recommended for me to get the AMD Radeon 7790. LINK TO THAT POST: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/31025-budget-uk-gaming-pc-%C2%A3350-%C2%A3370/#entry397062 So now that we've chosen the 7790 we are not sure whether to get the MSI version or the Saphire version due to the fact that they are both priced the same in the UK (on amazon) MSI: http://amzn.to/1b8nCIg SAPHIRE VERSION: http://amzn.to/10A8KOy So I am amusing that that MSI one has better performance because it's overclocked but I am unsure. As you can see from the link they are both £110 and the two questions I have is which gives the best performance and also which is the quietest.
  8. Thanks for the great reply! We are considering getting 4gb of ram now instead of 8 and get another 4gb dim later on. Since game recording using fraps will be done, 1tb is needed and if there is enough savings we're seriously considering getting the 7790 since there is quite a performance improvement for not much more money. I did check out the asrock 960gm since USB 3.0 isn't a big deal for us but it turns out there is no sata 3 ports which we want because in the future an SSD could be in the build and I think the motherboard I've chosen at the momment is more future proof. Thanks for the recommendations!!
  9. hahahaha, I stupidly forgot to put that in my post xD I'm planning to get the Corsair CX 430w PSU
  10. I like that idea!! I'll do it tomorrow :D Ummm . . . I'm not sure about that one xD
  11. (overlooked the graphics card part) I definitely be looking out to see if the 650 Ti Boost or the 7790 will have any price discounts
  12. I think they look quite nice with the blue LED's and the window. I'll look out for the 7790 to see if it ever gets a decent price drop (I hope it does :D) In the UK the NZXT Source 210 is actually more expensive than the Zalman Z9. I didn't realize that this topic should be in the NB&P section - sorry about that. I'll be aware of that next time i create another topic like this. I have a Zalman Z11 for my personal Rig!! :D And I agree that window is sexy xD lol. The source 210 is more expensive in the UK anyway. I also agree that the Zalman is more compelling because my friend wants a cool, sleek, black case that has blue LED's (It matches is setup) and the Zalman Z9 is the best we've found so far to suit his needs
  13. Really enjoyed reading this PC Build Topic!! Looks cool. Are you planning any future upgrades for this PC?
