The noise the pump makes in your video is way way less than what mine does, so i will mount it the same way you did and i hope that fixes the sound of a mosquito😂

So that sound is normal, no need to worry?

Ahh, yeah, makes sense, not sure why I didn't do it like that initially. At some point I might switch it, thanks 😄

What Kris means is that you want the coolest air going through the radiator to neutralize the internal temperature as much as possible. If you use case air, you'll get less of a cooling effect because of all the heat sources inside.

why would u use as cold air as possible to cool? 😄

There's no need to reapply the paste. You don't need a lot - you just need the whole surface of the CPU to be covered with a thin layer that fills any gaps. That looks really good, and even pressure, too.

I barely heard anything with 100% volume, but around 7 seconds I heard a mild noise that sounds like the impeller. Nothing to worry about. Good job!

Okay. Sorry for the long delay, I was just waiting for my pwm/argb hub to arrive and then work with the PC rather than having to work with it 2 times (pump, then mess with hub).
To the point -> I guess it's maybe better? I guess the sound now disappears a bit quicker than it did, but it still comes up randomly and then goes away after secs.
I managed to capture the sound it makes and also a pic how I have it mounted now.
    Pic:
Video (better on headphones, the sound appears at around 6sec. Some talking in the background, sorry, but for a split sec you can hear how the sound appears there): https://streamable.com/hne2zr Also for others I can suggest removing the pre-applied thermal paste and apply new one on your own. I ain't no pro, but this doesn't look like enough:

if it's hitting 80c then have the fans at 100%.

otherwise you have nothing set to 100% until it's already running overly hot

Its an AIO, so the fans are there to cool the water, not the CPU. The water changes temperature MUCH slower than the CPU so your "curve" can be more or less a flat line until say 85C. Heck I do this with my tuned 7800x3D on an air cooler. Flat 40% PWM until 85c then jumps to 60% PWM.

The worst thing in the world is the sound of fans ramping up and down in realtime to match the CPU temperature when there is no need.

The best sensors to use would be the 2 in the CPU unless you can verify the reliability of the mobo sensors.

I've used the Aorus Elite before, it is a fine board. The only issue I've seen some people complain about is the memory VRM having coil whine, though at least the one I used didn't have it.

That said, it's also worth looking at the B650 LiveMixer, mostly because it's $150 with a pretty similar feature set to those two boards.

True. Alright, thanks for your input, appreciated. 🙂 I'll just look for some that has ARGB header and proper ram speed supports. I'm not really an OC guy, so that part doesn't matter for me.

You can change it, I went a little overkill on the motherboard

I went thru this same thing with my build. I wanted rgb fans on my build, but i wanted good fans and they dont come with rgb, so i had to go this route also. I got this:https://gelidsolutions.com/product/amber5-remote-argb-controller/
This was great cause its running all my Phanteks Halo Lux RGB frames, its got 300 different programs and color combinations and it comes with a remote to do it with. Nice and easy and seperated from the mobo so i dont have to worry about it having some problem and messing with the rest of the setup etc... Now my whole rgb setup can just go to the next build. This one here is a fan and rgb controller, but i have my fans setup on a Lamptron FC2 heavy duty fan controller. I wasnt going to put my really nice Noctua IPPC 3000 and EK Furious Vardar 3000 fans to that box!

I fixed the fans, front is now taking air in, back is taking air out. I'll now check if I still get freezes.
