  1. Alright. Thanks for all the input from you all, appreciated.
  2. So that sound is normal, no need to worry?
  3. Ahh, yeah, makes sense, not sure why I didn't do it like that initially. At some point I might switch it, thanks
  4. It's a top mount, why should it be intake
  5. So that's a normal sound from time to time? It's not like it stays there, it just randomly comes up for a moment and goes away. I did reapply the paste however, I though that was too little
  6. Okay. Sorry for the long delay, I was just waiting for my pwm/argb hub to arrive and then work with the PC rather than having to work with it 2 times (pump, then mess with hub). To the point -> I guess it's maybe better? I guess the sound now disappears a bit quicker than it did, but it still comes up randomly and then goes away after secs. I managed to capture the sound it makes and also a pic how I have it mounted now. Pic: Video (better on headphones, the sound appears at around 6sec. Some talking in the background, sorry, but for a split sec you can hear how the sound appears there): https://streamable.com/hne2zr Also for others I can suggest removing the pre-applied thermal paste and apply new one on your own. I ain't no pro, but this doesn't look like enough:
  7. Will try flipping the block over next week and give an update. Thanks for the input
  8. Hello, So I recently built a new rig and it's the first time with AIOs for me and there is a weird sound coming from it's pump from time to time. I tried to record the sound but all I was hearing in the phone was just fan sounds. The sound isn't loud, but when I'm not on headphones I can hear it and it bothers me a bit. Cooler - DeepCool LS720; Mounted like this: From what I've read now, it's normal for AIOs to have some air in them. I understood now that it's from air in it, what's causing the noise from time to time. So basically when air reaches the pump in the circle, the sound appears, it stays for a moment and I guess then the air finally get's through the pump and the sound disappears and so on. I tried to slightly tilt the PC when the sound appeared and I heard like a liquid or air bubble noise as like the bubble then instantly went through the pump and the sound disappeared. Would be cool if that was a permanent fix, but as it circulates, it reaches the pump again and the sound for a moment is there again. So the question - is there a permanent fix for this or I just should be unbothered about the sound appearing from time to time? I know that some people have the pump sounding much worse, when mounted incorrectly, but I have it mounted properly.
  9. Thank you all. Will just run it more or less flat 35-40 and rap up when much higher temps.
  10. Hello, I just built a new pc and instantly noticed that the temps are different than for my previous CPU - Ryzen 5 5600X. For the 7 7800X3D there are some temp spikes even with simple tasks, but after googling, that seems to be normal for these ones. Also using and AIO for this CPU now, which is my first ever experience with an AIO (it's DeepCool LS720). So, the question is, how should I set the fan curve, what temperature source should I use for it and should I mess with AIO RPMs? Maybe I already made the curve okay-ish? to my understanding, this is the current pump speed (from HWMonitor). Also, maybe worth to mention - I got 5 intake fans and 4 exhaust (radiator fans are also exhaust, if that matters here). This is the current fan curve that I made: These are the available temps to choose from:
  11. Hey, I made a post earlier this day, but I did some digging and would really need some input from you guys. For now I'm looking at: MSI Tomahawk B650; Gigabyte AORUS Elite AX. But from what I see in reddit, quite some people have problems with the boards. Maybe they just got a bad luck - defected boards or are they actually bad? In case they are bad, what would you recommend to go with? These boards are in my price range, wouldn't want to spend a shit ton on motherboard and these ones seem to be quite alright with the specifications considering the price. So ~200 I'm looking at. I'd like an ATX board probably, as I have DeepCool CH510 Mesh Digital as my case and a small board in it probably would look weird.
  12. True. Alright, thanks for your input, appreciated. I'll just look for some that has ARGB header and proper ram speed supports. I'm not really an OC guy, so that part doesn't matter for me.
  13. Maybe anyone else has some input on motherboard? How much should I spend on it considering the requirements?
  14. oh okay, ty. Do you think 200+ is worth for motherboard? The price probably drops a bit, if I don't need a wifi one?
  15. Current case is DeepCool CH510 Mesh Digital -> black. Okay, thanks for your input. What about the motherboard?
  16. Hey! I'm currently looking to upgrade my GPU to an RTX 4070Ti Super. I think to combine it with a Ryzen 7 7800x3D. As currently I have an AM4 board, I'll just upgrade all the things I need and forget about PC upgrading for some years. For the budget - let's just say not the cheapest, not the most expensive things. So questions: What AM5 mobo should I get? Take into account that I have ARGB fans (currently connected with a controller, but I want to free up that SATA connection and use ARGB header on motherboard instead). I'd probably like GEN4 M.2 as well (maybe even 2 slots of it, if that doesn't bump up the price a lot). Should I get 4x8 RAM sticks or 2x16? I think I googled that it might work better with 2x16, but not sure. For PSU I think I'll just get an 80+ Gold 1000W so I can use it maybe for future upgrades as well? Is DeepCool LS720 CPU cooler good enough? As that's what I'm currently looking at to get with the CPU. Thanks!
  17. Hey, I recently bought an ARGB controller to get my fan lights working (I don't have an ARGB header on my motherboard). Yesterday put everything together, the lights work, but I wanted to control them from the Master+ software. When opening the software, it shows that no supported devices found, even though, I think it should work with the software even if my fans are DeepCool FC120s. How I connected it: Usb connector on motherboard to the controller; ARGB fan cables connected to the controller; SATA for power to the controller; PWM connector to CPU fan header on motherboard + the cable has a female connector as well, which I connected to the actual CPU fan (the CPU fan IS NOT one of the ARGB fans, just a regular one). My ARGB fan PWM cables are connected to a fan hub not the controller, only ARGB cables from fans are connected to the controller. So I thought that maybe I need to connect the PWM cable from controller to the fan hub maybe? Can this be the issue, that I have non ARGB fan connected to the PWM female connector from controller? In Windows device manager it shows 1 device that is "Device descriptor request failed", that's probably the controller I'm guessing and that's probably the reason why the Master+ software is not recognizing any devices. 18. Forgot to add, that this is the ARGB controller: https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/coolers/rgb-accessories/argb-led-controller/

  20. Okey, thanks! So I'm looking at cooler master's controllers. Which one do you think would be the best (considering that I now have 4 ARGB fans, but thinking of replacing other ones for ARGB as well): Cooler Master's "Hub Controller" or Cooler Master's "Mini Controller"?
  21. Hello, I just received a new case and fans and started wondering if even can get the fan lights working and control them. Fans: DeepCool FC120 So the problem is that the fans are ARGB, but I don't have an ARGB or even RGB header on my motherboard (ASRock B450M-HDV). Some questions for you: It's probably not worth to invest in a new motherboard with AM4 socket, that has ARGB header, as there already are AM5 socket CPU's, right? I googled and found out that ARGB controllers might be the fix for me, but maybe there are some other suggestions from you? Aren't there like USB -> ARGB adapters (thought of that because I believe the controllers work with USB)? If controllers are the only logical option, then maybe you can suggest some as well? Thanks in advance.
  22. So the Vengeance I wrote about (CL16 3200MHz) would be good with the 5600X Ryzen?
  23. I currently have Vengeance CL16 (mistakenly wrote CL15 in the topic, so scratch the CAS part that I asked about) 8GB 3000MHz.
  24. Hello, To start off, I would like to upgrade my CPU and RAM. I have chosen Ryzen 5 5600X as the CPU. Currently I want to upgrade RAM only and the CPU afterwards. So... my question is what would be the best CAS and MHz for Ryzen 5 5600X considering that I have ASRock B450M-HDV motherboard? Currently I'm looking at Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 16GB 3200MHz (CAS16). Would that be good for this Ryzen? Also, currently I have CAS 15 RAM, is it safe to buy a CAS16 now if I'm replacing both sticks that I have now?
