  1. The Custom PC, I found Linus media group when I started college and the guy who would become one of my closest friends invited me over for a lan party and I got into pc gaming. I started looking up videos online about parts how to build and what was coming out and almost immediately your name popped up. Been an avid viewer since =D Congratulations on this amazing achievement Linus, I look forward to more amazing content from you and the team in the future =)
  2. Can't agree with Linus more when it comes to speaker position on phones and tablets these days. Loved the vid can't wait to see what slick gets up to at PAX!
  3. I've moved my rig between countries a few times now, and even though mine has no water cooling as long as you have drained your loop and packed it safely in your original case box it should be fine. also if you can when your flying either purchase baggage insurance or ask your airline to mark the box as fragile and in that case if anything does happen you can claim some of the cost of whatever was damaged back.
  4. After Many weeks of talking to Microsoft what they said was that because my copy of Windows 8 is an "upgrade" key the only way I can re-activate my copy of windows is if I downgrade to win 7 and then upgrade to 8 AGAIN. Overlooking the fact that my computer should not have lost it's activation in the first place the last few weeks has made me regret ever giving Microsoft any of my money.
  5. Thanks man, I'll try it out and see what happens

  8. Hi guys, I'm in a bit of a jam here, I recently got back home to Sri Lanka after a trip to the states and switched out my graphics card in my rig. I was able to get the card installed without any problems and it runs perfectly fine but after changing it my copy of windows 8.1 pro that I purchased online is saying that it is no longer activated. I tried activating it but all I got was the error code in the title of this post ( 0xC004F012 ) I contacted customer support here in Sri Lanka but they said I had to send an email to the Indian support line which I did but they were even less helpful. Below is the email they sent me Hello J, Thank you for contacting Microsoft Customer Service. I understand from your mail that you are unable to activate Windows 8 and receiving 0xC004F012. I tried explaining this to this so called "Rajesh" but i received almost the identical email again which makes me think that this entire system is pretty much unmanned is there anyone here who knows how I can fix this without having to lose all my programs? if you need any additional information please ask and I shall provide as many answers as I can. any help would be much appreciated, thanks guys
  9. Thanks guys, convinced him to cut the SSD in half and go for more HDD space instead. Will post up some pics in December when we finish building!
  10. Hi guys I'm helping my friend out with his first PC build after building my first this April and after quite a bit of back and fourth this is the parts list that we came up with. The build will be for gaming and some cad use and have an IPS 1920x1080 display with a TV for a second display and gaming use. My friend already has the screens and is buying his parts in the US, do you guys think there is any way we could make this build better ? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/20qYP Thanks
