    I don't think the heat output will be much of a deal is you have good airflow. Also why are you concerned about tdp if you have a 750w psu? The 390 is also faster in most games and soon games may use the 970's 4gb (3.5gb usable) of vram in the future where as the 390 has 8gb of usable vram.

    AMD might catch Intel off guard since I dont think Intel is really focusing on desktops right now.

    Second one will have better upgrade path, you also might want to consider a R9 390 over the GTX 970 for better futureproofing.

    Especially when I got my Athlon X4 860K, I didn't hear anything about GTA V being a cpu intensive game, now it bottlenecks my R9 270.

    Before anyone says switch to R9 380, the programs he will be using uses CUDA Cores. Your build should be just fine.

    Maybe as long as the bass isn't heavy but good then I will be fine, I usually adjust to different speakers/headphones after a few minutes.

    My Turtle Beaches did hurt my head after a while of use and I wouldn't compare Turtle Beaches to Beats. I heard that Afterglows had good bass.
