Akrobatiks got a reaction from deguzi in Gaming/creative proffessional editing rig...
    Hey guys,

First of all, props to Linus for making the best PC component reviews on youtube!!

Just finished an upgrade build to my main creative rig. Im a proffessional photographer, so I use my machine for a lot of photo/video editing and also happen to be a gamer.

On a side note, you can check out my work here: www.jamielinkphotography.com

This build started because of a failing power supply that took forever to diagnose and sparked me to start the process of upgrading my machine that was about 4 years old. Im absolutely loving the new power, although my next step is to upgrade my monitor's and I'm not sure if my GTX 760's will hold up to 1440p or 4k gaming, so I'm going to be upgrading the Graphics Cards here in the next couple of weeks. Cant decide between 2 GTX 970's or if it would be worth it to drop the extra cash to grab 2 GTX 980's so if anyone has any suggestions it would be much apprecciated!!

    My old machine specs were
         Core i7 950
         8gb Corsair Vengence DDR3 Ram
         2 - GTX 580's SLI
         1000w Thermaltake PSU
         Tri-Monitor Setup - 3 acer 22's
250 GB Caviar Black HDD (for OS)
         - 2TB WD Caviar Black Hard Drive
         - 2 - 2TB Lacie Rugged External Hard Drives
Thermaltake Armour Liquid Cooling Case (VH600LBWS) - I had a bigwater 760 on my previous build from like 8 years ago that failed and fried my previous CPU, so it was just sitting in the case unused

    My new machine specs:
         Intel Core i7 4790K overclocked from 4Ghz to a stable 4.6Ghz
Corsair H110 Closed Loop Liquid Cooling System
         16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 ram
         2 - GTX 760 SC's running in SLI
         1200w EVGA PSU
         Tri-Monitor Setup - 2 acer 22" & 1 Dell 24" Ultra-sharp High Color
7 TB of hard drive space:
         - 512GB Crucial MX100 SSD (Running the Operating System)
         - 2TB WD Caviar Black Hard Drive
         - 2 - 2TB Lacie Rugged External Hard Drives
         - 500GB Samsung Hard Drive
         - 250GB Seagate Hard Drive (Acronis System Image Backup)

Here are the pics from the build -
