  1. i have been recently experiencing unusual fps lag in counter-strike and stuttering in youtube. Before my csgo ran at 55+ fps high - vHigh settings with aa, now it is unplayable dipping down to 20s, i've tried lowering settings but makes little difference. Lag is worst when people are firing aks. I have also experienced lag while watching youtube videos. the video stutters, produces static noises (crackles) and distorts audio. I can replicate this lag and audio distortion alsmost everytime if i scroll up and down when in Steam as steamwebhelper.exe uses 40-50 % of my cpu when doing so. I dont know what is causing this problem as my computer was fine for a long time. Things i've tried: Turning off and on. lol. Updating drivers with driver booster 3. Scanning for viruses using Panda, malwarebytes and windows defender. replugging peripherals using different peripherals turning off windows aero helped a bit disabling/enabling audio drivers temperatures are normal specs: intel q6700 2.66 ghz / 40c idle/ 61c while in csgo mb asus P5KPL-CM 4gb ram ddr2 gigabyte gtx 650 2gb factory overclocked/ 36c idle/ 55c in csgo NO SOUND CARD VIA HD audio HDD old and nearly full Windows 7 prof 64bit any ideas on cause and solution? is my computer just dying ?

  3. i have been recently experiencing unusual fps lag in counter-strike and stuttering in youtube. This problem is kinda hard to explain so bare with me. Before my csgo ran at 55+ fps high - vHigh settings with aa, now it is unplayable dipping down to 20s, i've tried lowering settings but makes little difference. Lag is worst when people are firing at me. I have also experienced lag while watching youtube videos, the video stutters, produces static noises (crackles) and distorts audio when i move my mouse and using scroll wheel. I can replicate this lag alsmost everytime if i scrolling up and down when in Steam. I have also noticed Cpu usage spiking when i scroll in steam. Weird thing is when im playing league i do not experience this fps lag except at the end of a game where the nexus explodes my fps during the nexus explosion has decreased from usual, i think it has something to do with the loud noises. Things i've tried: Turning off and on. lol. Updating drivers with driver booster 3. Scanning for viruses using Panda, malwarebytes and windows defender. replugging peripherals using different peripherals lowering game volume makes a very slight difference but sound is important in csgo. temperatures are normal everything stock specs: intel q6700 2.66 ghz / 40c idle/ 60c while in csgo mb asus P5KPL-CM 4gb ram ddr2 gigabyte gtx 650 2gb factory overclocked/ 36c idle/ 55c in csgo NO SOUND CARD VIA HD audio HDD old and nearly full Windows 7 prof 64bit Does anyone have ideas to fix this? My last resort is to upgrade to windows 10.
  4. Currently i have a 250gb (150gb used) hard drive and its getting quite slow, I bought a 120gb ssd and i want to put windows and a few games on it, the tutorials i have watched on cloning uses a larger destination drive. In my case i have a smaller destination folder, what should i do? can i only clone windows?
  5. I have an old motherboard and I am planning to get a new case and power supply. Mother board is asus P5KPL-CM with an Intel core 2 extreme QX6700 (socket 775lga) in it. It looks like it has the size of a micro atx. But I'm not sure if it will fit inside newer cases as my current case which is about the same age has poor airflow. Also will the modern power supplies work with My old motherboard?
