You can't fix exposure in video after the fact. If it's not done right in camera, you are out of luck. Especially with go pro footage.

its possible, but the quality will not be good. I even have trouble with recording in the dark with my hero 3 black edition. They really are not very good when it comes to night shots. Far too much noise.

When you are recording, before you do what you are aiming to do, clap so you get a spik in audio levels on both the cameras built in mic and the dedicated mic. This spike can then be used to sync the audio and video when being edited and all you need to do then is lock the audio clip to the vid and cut out the unneeded bit in the beginning where you clap.

yes, you can. I currently have a manfrotto 502 fluid head on mine. The amazon video tripod has a standard 3/8's screw mount so virtually any tripod head should fit without issue.

yes, the head that comes with the tripod could be problematic if you dont keep it locked. It does not have any kind of counterbalance, so if its left loose it could will tilt and smack the lens on a tripod leg. I have had a few close calls with it. One thing to look out for.

The main trade off with that tripod is the weight. While its built very well, its HEAVY. The video head on it is also fairly mediocer. Good if you are not wanting to pan or tilt with video though.

if you are buying new, i would personally go with the small sony a6000. that will give you the same features as the a3500 but give access to a better range of lenses.
