  1. Will try that now, thank you
  2. I did run it. It shows error 41, which is why I am wondering whether or not my psu is the problem. I have now tried to run Wolcen a couple more times, I would change graphics in the menu, then my PC restarts. I exit the game, my PC restarts. I enable the in game FPS indicator, and my PC restarts. I have not tried Xcom again, but I don't understand why it is happening.
  3. MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard, Intel i5 4690k (stock speed), 16gb Kingston HyperX Savage 1866mhz (XMP enabled), Crucial MX300 480gb ssd, with a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming graphics card. Running Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  4. I recently bought a couple games on the steam sale. The issue I have happened first with Xcom 2, and just now with Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. I'd for example try to create a character in Wolcen, then my PC just restarts itself. I moved one of my soldiers in Xcom, and the PC did the same. CPU is at 35-40 degrees, GPU at 25/40 (idle and gaming), and I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic to test for bad ram. Windows event viewer shows that the crash is Event 41, so that's sudden loss of power. How can I test my PSU, or might something else be wrong? I have an Antec TruePower 750W PSU
  5. I can't get into my bios at all. I've tried various keyboards but when I boot my pc it does not seem to register that I have a keyboard plugged in until after the OS has loaded. I tried using the Bios Mode setting on my Corsair K70 keyboard but that is not helping either. I need to change the boot order, but can't get in at all. Any tips?
  6. Alright, fantastic. I was definitely going to do a clean install. Thank you very much!
  7. That's what I'm worried about. To my knowledge the DSP version does not come with a DVD, so I can't simply format and then try to install, I need to upgrade from my current version. Stop me if I'm wrong . So I'm thinking, I build the new rig, start as is. My current Windows will launch, then I load the Windows upgrade assistant and enter the code they give me.
  8. Hey guys I bought a new system that I will hopefully receive all the components of next week. Sadly, I derped and bought a DSP Windows and not the retail version. Can anyone tell me how I can perform a clean install on my pc with a DSP version of Windows? Should I build the rig, launch with the unformatted drive and then follow the Windows upgrade steps from there? Thanks in advance
  9. Fair enough. Z97 it is! Thanks guys
  10. Hi guys. I am looking to upgrade my rig within the next few months. If I were to purchase now, I would like to go with the MSI Z97S Krait edition, because the white and black scheme is just, for lack of a better word, REDONKULOUS! And I have an idea for a very nice black/white scheme build. So my question is this: Would it be a waste to purchase the Z97 system now (with an i5 4690; not looking to overclock; purely for gaming), or even within the next two months, or would it be best to wait until X99 and DDR4 take over? "Many thanks, friend of friends!"
