I'd probably do something like WInDIrStat to look through all the files and delete the windows ones, but a clean format is a better solution. I'm just kinda lazy most of the time with my personal data.

It's a 33% increase in pixel count, so in theory it's at least 33% harder to drive. Your numbers seem a little out of whack for your decreases, but it could also be affected by how much more of the game world you're loading, especially in something like WoW. I wouldn't say that's totally unreasonable. If you're looking for an upgrade bump up the GPU, everything else is fine. Something like a 1060 would do you well.

That monitor is probably fine, I haven't had any experience with it. Personally, I have been on the Acer XB270HU for a while now and love it. 144hz IPS gsync is awesome. I am of the camp that gsync is the best thing ever, but it may not really benefit you with the games you're running and a build that powerful. At the same time, I just sold my monitor because I'm moving to the acer ultrawide, I'll probably make a post here when I get it. So you can't go wrong either way, but I do like the super high refresh rates, not sure that I could go back to 60 (which is what I'm doing while I wait for my new monitor. Tearing galore. plz halp)

go into the settings, turn on share and then you can adjust the overlay from there.

have you used geforce experience to monitor your frame rate? I'm not at my home computer now, but that site isn't showing my refresh rate for my work monitor.

While is an odd choice and I understand the upset, it's a huge chunk of new content beyond what they planned on inserting into the base game. Doing what they do is expensive. Especially after that lawsuit, which was a super shitty situation, they need money. I personally love ARK and will be picking this up.

It's gotten a lot better recently. I have a 780, it's all about allocating your resources correctly in the settings. I can make the game look very pleasant and run at about 40fps at 1080p. I'm upgrading to 1440p soon though, so we'll see how I fair then

Free build hang out type of place, not really enough people to do PvP. I'm definitely interested in switching to PvP or getting some Tribe wars going if enough people get into it. For now it's just build crazy and have fun exploring all the different aspects of the game.

It's 99.9% probably a windows update, I work as a computer technician and we have been seeing this A TON lately. People do updates and this happens when one of the more recent ones don't install properly. The easiest fix is doing a reinstall. Backup your files to another drive and reinstall, it really is not worth the time and effort to figure out which update caused the problem. We have spent so much time trying to figure out what update does it and it isn't always the same update. You certainly may try and figure it out, but the quicker solution, at least from my perspective, is just going with the reinstall. EDIT: Just saw the edit, first time I heard of that happening, good for you haha. My initial advice still stands for others who encounter the issue.

changing the settings on the RSI website and accessing the sim from my spacecraft fixed everything up, thanks!

actually dumb question, is your ship supposed to be in your hangar? Because mine is not lol. I just get to arena commander by navigating to the menu.
