  1. So is there anyway for me to power that second card off of my power supply, or am I just going to have to get a larger one?
  2. I've read that a single sata cable can't carry the load required by the card though
  3. So I'm planning on adding another GTX 760 to my setup and I have some questions about connectors and power supplies. Currently my single GTX 760 uses two 6-pin PCI connectors. Unfortunately, these are the only two 6-pin pci connectors available on my evga 600b 600w power supply. Luckily though the card I'm planning on getting comes with molex to pci converters, which require two molex connectors to make one PCI 6-pin. The second problem I'm running into is that my power supply only has 3 molex connectors, so I need one more to power the card. I was wondering if it would be safe to use a sata power to molex adapter to create this last molex connector. I found this on newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812816038 which would work for exactly what I need, I'm just curious if this is safe/ a good idea. I know some believe that running through multiple adapters can lead to trouble, but I was wanting the expertise from this forum. Thanks for the help guys!
  4. I would do that, but I already bought the gtx 760. The performance is comparable to the 970.
  5. I'm going to have to use the PC to molex converters provided with the card, the first card used up all my pci-e power connectors.
  6. Alright, why do you say to upgrade as soon as possible? I have yet to find a need to overclock, I haven't even gotten close to hitting the threshold on this cpu. I'm going to have to use the PC to molex converters provided with the card, the first card used up all my pci-e power connectors. Also thanks for the help guys!
  7. Alright so I just finished my first build below are the specs: Processor: i7-4790k Motherboard: Asus z97-AR Power Supply: EVGA 600b Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 SSD: Crucial MX100 HD: Toshiba Barracuda 1TB Graphics Card: Nvidia Special Edition GTX 760 2GB Pretty much I'm wondering if I add a second GTX 760 would my power supply be sufficient. Pc Part Picker estimates the power consumption to be around 541W. I know that's cutting it close, but would it suffice until I can raise money for a corsair power supply around 700-1000W. Thanks for the help guys.
