Extra thermal paste is not needed
H100i is just as good and cheaper
That motherboard is insanlely expensive - get a cheaper Z97 one.
RAM is too much money - get a cheaper RAM, 8GB is more than enough for gaming. Also, CORSAIR, even though they make great products, are quite expensive and cheaper RAM brands can be found, eg G.SKILL.
Change SSD to EVO - better quality
Great case choice - however is he wants to show off I would get the 760T as it is just spectacular.
RM PSU is not wildley popular and is not very reliable and is also expensive.
Why do you need a $54 optical drive? Who even had CDs or DVDs anymore?
You can save $10 on the monitor by going with the ACER equivilent
The keyboard is $100. WHY THE F*** do you need a $100 keyboard?!?!?!?! Just get a $50 Razer
A bit off topic, but what do you guys think of the INWIN S-FRAME?
With the optical drive that blu ray drive has 3d blu ray funtionality

If you are just gaming get a 4690K and 8GB of Ram insted of 16GB. May want to keep the ram if you think that is a good deal
-
430w is plenty for that 970 if you are just testing.
-
MSI has better sound and looks nicer while gigabyte has tougher components
-
It can fit a 970 n there. There is a pcie slot so it'll work. However the pcie slot on the mobo is only pcie 2.0. Might bottleneck because the 970 is pcie 3.0
-
Might need a bigger psu

If you plan to do sli you might need to pay more for the psu and the mobo
-
H97 gets you more memory modules, more pcie slots and more connectivity. I would pay extra
-
Id go z97 pro gamer because i like the red and z97 works better with haswell refresh
-
6300 because u can overclock it as well so it can be just as fast as the 4350
-
The 4690K is the best CPU for gaming. Anything higher is unescesarry unless you stream or edit vids of your games
-
You could get the z97 pro4 from asrock or MSI Z97 PC mate
-
Only thing to change is the PSU you only need 500W. I have that monitor too

This has an i5 insted of the i7 because i7s are useless for gaming. 1TB HDDs are not that much more expensive than 500Gb so there are 1TB drives now. Got a mechanical keyboard now that you could afford it and 8Gb of ram because 16GB is pointless for gaming
-
If i was choosing i would go with the 760t because of the window. The Enthoo luxe is a better value overall and the h440 is very quiet
-
Here is something a bit better
-
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rsjRHx Just over budget by $50. Its X99 and has 2 970s that will outperform a single 980. Windows is not included
-
Get the 4460 its only 300MHz slower than the 4690 and cost $50 less
-
can you give me a link to a mb that is i'm pretty sure it's compatible (dont know why it keeps leaving a blank spot)
Any motherboard that has the LGA 2011-3 socket will work. LGA 2011-3 is not backwards compatible with LGA2011. The chipset is X99, the other mobo was X79. http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-X99--DDR4-3000-Motherboard/dp/B00NC05Q2C/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1417424961&sr=1-2&keywords=lga+2011-3+motherboard. This is a mobo around the price as the last one.

Your Motherboard isnt compatible with your cpu. BTW 980 outperforms the 290X
-
Sorry I was not clear about my purposes, but I will be dual-booting and AMD is not officially supported by Mac OS X
Ok then stick with i5

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/WHgzWZ
BTW case is just personal choice you can choose anything pretty much if you aren't doing a custom loop
-
Get 2x 970s. They outperform the single 980 by a lot

I am putting parts together for an HIgh End APU System. I wanted to use dual graphics mode but i want to know can you still have dual graphics working with 2 R7 250Xs to get more performance. BTW I am not actually building the system.
