  1. Gte the spec 02 instead of the spec 01 its only about $7 more expensive and has ssd mounts, tool free pcie slots and another fan, and get something like an fx 6300 and gigabyte 970ADSP mobo so you have money for a better gpu like the 960
  2. I dont think the 980 can handle 3 4k displays. The titan z can only run them at 10 fps
  3. Wait for broadwell and get that when it comes out. And just get an external dvd drive
  4. Do you guys put your videos on the forum before utube. Cause its only viewable to people with the link and this isnt the usual upload time
  5. Maybe wait for broadwell when that comes out on desktop
  6. Oh didnt see that was it on the wan show? But now a store is leaking it
  7. While browsing PCCG i found in the GPU section a category called the GTX 960. There is nothing listed in there. On the tab it says GTX 960 [ETA 23/1/15]. BTW thats australian date so for most people its going to be on the 22nd. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=193_1732. IF you click on the GPU section in PCCG where it lists al the GPUs it has the picture of presumably the 960 with a "coming soon" badge on it
  8. As long as you update the motherboard UEFI you should be good. But maybe wait a bit for when intel releases broadwell.
  9. http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=94207&vpn=24MP55HQ-P&manufacture=LG%20Electronics&promoid=1403 This nice LG has a 2MS responce time and is IPS for $149
  10. There are other ways you can fix the things the X99-E WS doesn't have like using a USB to PS/2 adapter but i think its good that you experimented and it also makes for an interesting video!
  11. ok maybe just stick with the stock fans or get some other red ones that are sp optimised. You should always choose sp optimised ones before colour
  12. No it isnt part of the competition. its showing that alienware makes alot of profit of their pcs

They make around $850 dollars profit since they get windows for free. They also went way overkill on the PSU, the thing only consumes 421W. Also does anyone realise you can add a tablet to your order of this? I think dell really wants you to buy their tablets

I will also be doing the higher end models as well. Shows you that they make around $500 profit since they get windows for free. The config that they use is so unbalanced. A 5820K with an R9 270?.
  15. Not part of the contest but i actually put together a part list of componenets that are near identical to the alienware area 51 and is about half the price of the area 51 in australia of $2999 http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/wss9XL
  16. I did that then realised it said "Search Skype". I clicked that and it worked. Thnxs
  17. I recently got the Skype 6.2.2 update with the new design and now i don't know how to add contacts. I've looked everywhere on the internet an cant find a guide on how to add contacts.
  18. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/nnjVZL u can 1080p game on this no problem. Maybe want to wait on the gpu for an r9 380
  19. Get something like an fx 8320 or a i3 and get a better gpu like maybe the upcoming r9 380/ gtx 960. Maybe go with the define r5 instead of r4 if u can afford it. Get a cheaper mobo so u can get an ssd. also if you are a student u can get windows student edition for like $60
  20. if you are going to put thos af140s on the x61, get a sp140. Itll give you better performance. BTW i like that colour scheme
  21. yes but the new one will be quiter.
  22. Actually a bios update can let you oc on H series boards
