Nah, the new CX series, as quan suggested is much better. The Seasonic S12/M12 are oftentimes found for like 50 USD so look out for them.

i heard the xt serious is shit and the ts series is based on seasonic.

It's based on a Seasonic design but manufactured by Shenzhen Rui Sheng Yuan Tech, and as such their quality control isn't quite as good. Along with a shorter 3 year warranty, it uses CS caps from 12Kuang Jin which aren't great.

looks fine; XFX uses good OEMs for their PSUs IIRC

750W for a single 970 and i5 build is far more than enough, infact you could SLI 970 and OC the i5 and be fine with that too.
 
Remember a 3 way 980 build pulled about 600W so that should be an indication of the headroom you should have.

also i couldn't find a fully solid choice of z97 or z87 board on PCP :') so i just thought i'd play it safe and go with H97 then just go Z170 for when i7 time comes.
but pretty much go for the msi board that was linked, that should be good.

Good CPU to go with an R9 390? anything i5 4430/4440/4460 and up , just depends on your budget. if you don't intend on OCing then a 4460 or 4590 or a Xeon E3 1231V3 would be down your alley . if you want to OC then i'd see if you can find a deal on a 4690K if not then get a 6600K :3.

So i'm not sure when Haswell CPU's will go back on sale, maybe around christmas time or maybe just after christmas if you can snag a quick deal. but it'll be a while yet till a 4690k is as cheap as an i3 (probably a good number of years looking at the 2500K and all now)

nah it's just a normal 780 but with extra VRAM and a factory overclock....also kinda was my dream card.

What Overclock/'s are you thinking of getting?

Yeah i would go for a 980Ti . it'll do good for now, and if pattern is anything to go by you should at least get "GTX 1070-1080" performance out of it. so it'll still be good.
