MOBO: Gigabyte X79-UD3
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit
RAM: 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance Pro + 2X4gb Corsair Vengeance , Both Running at 1600MHZ, XMP Enabled
Hmm so i'm having a bit of an issue here with ram :c
I noticed i was getting some slow down earlier today, opened up windows properties and noticed it said the installed RAM was only 4GB, after restarting it went upto saying 8GB, and then after
reseating some RAM the BIOS is now saying it's 12GB, I've tried replacing the Corsair Vengeance's (standard ones) with the other 2 sticks of corsair vengeances i have but to no avail.
Also earlier that day i noticed my CPU was running at a slightly higher voltage than normal, even on default settings (1.25 compared to it's stock 1.175)
Anyone have any clue what could be causing this? i did recently install a Noctua NH-D14 and im worried i could have damaged my CPU. or the pins on the socket, do i need a new motherboard? or could this maybe be windows or BIOS related, i did get a message saying something about BIOS sectors not matching up to OS or RAM sectors or such.
