  1. Hi all, So the issue is this: I sync my podcasts from my PC with my phone (HTC One M8). The files sync fine and are on the phone when viewing in file manager, but then when I open the music app or Google Play Music they do not show up, not even after restarting my phone. The only way I can get them to show up is by moving the entire podcasts folder to the root of the sd card and then back to its original place and then magically everything shows up in both music apps. It seems like when Sync sends the files to my phone, the OS doesn't seem to know they are there even though they are. Second issue, when syncing with my tablet (NVidia Shield Tablet) sync always shows "Cannot identify the destination folder", even though SD card permissions have been given to the app. I look forward to your responses on this, Llama.
  2. Would b cool to see products that implement the best features from each brand, as long as they don't make it a complicated thing.
  3. Honestly, make sure your mathematical skills are up to scratch. It's a lot of maths and the workload will be big. There will also be a lot of boring theory, but every so often there's some gold nuggets which blow your mind. (Most recent one was a lecture I had on afterburners or how the SR-71 engines worked at different speeds.) But if you have a passion for it the go for it, just be prepared to have to work hard.
  4. That's cool. I'm thinking of consulting/IT when I'm done. I'm so done with the maths... FSX is pretty accurate AFAIK. Kerbal gets the basics right, but avoids al the maths (there's a lot of maths).
  5. Scary? In terms of workload yes. But f'ing cool if you're into that stuff.
  6. Used to, but barely get the time to anymore. Didn't know they stopped allowing them. No clue. I would guess European.
  7. My first guess would be using canned tuna to leave a trail that leads to the desired toilet. If the cat isn't a total moron it should figure the rest out from there...
  8. Flaps are found on the trailing edge (back) of the wing. They increase the lift generated by the wing to allow for lower flight speeds at high angles of attack. Slats do not really improve lift much but they allow the aircraft to reach higher angles of attack before stalling (lower stall speed). I'm sorry but this is in the realm of astrophysics I think . My area is more to do with spacecraft mission design etc.
  9. Hi all, The title pretty much says it all. If there is anything you wanna know or discuss feel free to comment. Edit: Ooo, pretty colours.
  10. Sheeeeeit, I'm definately bookmarking this for the weekend.
  11. After their historic world first launch and subsequent landing of their large Falcon 9 rocket, Elon Musk's SpaceX team is gearing up for another attempt this time at sea once again. The rocket shoul lift off at 10:42am PT launch from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. Quote from SpaceX (quoting not working on Edge, sorry): "Date Sun, Jan 17 2016 6:42 PM GMT — Sun, Jan 17 2016 8:00 PM GMT About With this mission, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket will deliver the Jason-3 satellite to low-Earth orbit for the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), French space agency Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) and the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT). The Jason-3 launch is targeted for a 10:42am PT launch from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. If all goes as planned, the Jason-3 satellite will be deployed approximately an hour after launch. This mission also marks an experimental landing of the first stage on the SpaceX drone ship “Just Read the Instructions”. The landing of the first stage is a secondary test objective." Hopefully it goes to plan. As an aerospace student I find what SpaceX is doing is massively important in order to proliferate the use of space more than it currently is, and reducing the costs of getting to orbit is a giant leap in the right direction. Edit: Here's the source link, and where you can watch the launch live: http://www.spacex.com/webcast/
  12. I bet it's really because of patent reasons. They just wanna keep that quiet.
  13. I don't see the problem with quoting average or total usage time for an OS. I mean Steam shows game time on a per user basis instead of a general one.
  14. This should probably go into off topic as it is not news. Not sure about the CoC though.
  15. Still a bit short of their One Billion (Insert Dr. Evil joke here) user by the end of the year though...
  16. In my opinion I have been tempted by CS GO simply because I have not found a decently fun shooter go play since BF3 (or even original BlOps) I think it's also because a lot of YouTuber are playing it now (whether you count case opening marathons as playing is a different story altogether).
  17. Because iPhone 5C was such a storming success right?
  18. Was watching love, super cool. Makes me wanna continue to finish my aerospace degree
  19. This is the downside of such a centralised system. A lot of people at my Uni were unable to hand in work because the networks were down.
  20. Title says it all. Facebook and Instagram have been inaccessible for the last hour.
  21. So I can buy black biggie fans and have black anti vibration mounts too?
