  1. I have a Nivdia 980 and I'd like to get G sync if possible however, accurate colour is more important to me.
  2. Hey guys I'm having trouble deciding on what 4k monitor to get for myself. I need something that I can colour grade as professionally as possible on, whilst still being okay for gaming in games like Overwatch (not on a pro level). My budget is under $1500 AUD. This monitor will mostly be used for gaming and video editing. I'm currently looking at these: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/samsung-u32e850r-32-4k-uhd-freesync-monitor-ab66406 https://www.mwave.com.au/product/benq-bl3201pt-32-4k-uhd-ips-professional-monitor-ab59409#detailTabs=tabOverview https://www.mwave.com.au/product/acer-predator-xb321hk-32-4k-uhd-gsync-ips-gaming-monitor-ab91205?utm_source=getprice&utm_medium=cpc#detailTabs=tabOverview What do you guys think? Thanks for any advice!
  3. Hi guys I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard as my current one is slowly dieing, with features such as wifi not working at all anymore (hardware issue). Right now I have a Asus P8Z77-V and I'm wondering as someone who has had little experience with choosing motherboards what would be a good choice for an upgrade. Motherboard Criteria: -Bulit in Wifi -Usb 3 -Overclocking unimportant as I only overclock my Gpu -I don't SLI so it doesn't need all the slots -Same size as my last one. (regular size don't know the term is for it) -I prefer the Asus brand but will change if I have a good reason to. -Be able to use DDR4 ram -Furture proof if possible Now I've heard that I'm probably going to have to change my Cpu if I get a new mobo, so I'm open to suggestions on that as well. Right now I have a i7-3770 and it keeps up with my 980 pretty well. CPU Criteria: -Must fit into the suggested motherboard -Must be better in some way than my last cpu -Must be able to keep up with my 980 And lastly ram. My old ram is DDR3 1333MHz (Not exact speed) Something faster would be nice and if it doesn't cost too much DDR4 would be cool. Thank you for reading this far and for your helpful suggestions! Budget: 700AUD
  4. I looked into it deeper and found that the gpu clock speeds where lower than the factory overclock speeds. There was indeed a issue with the card. I took it back and got it replaced with minimal effort, thanks Umart! My card is now performing as expected thank you for your comments.
  5. So are you saying that there is something wrong with it?
  6. I guess what I'm trying to figure out here is if there is something wrong with my new card. Do I need to take it back or anything?
  7. Hey guys I brought a ASUS 980 Strix 4gb today and are getting expected temps for idle (35 to 40), but I'm getting what I think is really high temps under full load (79 to 92). 92 on ultra for the Witcher 3. Round 80 for Ultra GTA V. Is this usual? All my other component temps are fine just the gpu and I have good air flow. I'm using asus gpu tweak for the temp info. When the load is taken off it goes from 92 to 68 in the next second. Thank you for any help/suggestions
  8. I promise to only use this Nuc for good and not evil.
  9. Thank you everyone for your advice and suggestions, you've saved me a lot of money and effort. I've decided to buy a usb wifi adapter. I didn't know that if I wanted to upgrade I'd have to replace both my CPU and mobo. It makes no sense to replace my current board if I'm only going to have to buy a new one later.
  10. Hmm you make a good point. Is there any USB adapters you'd recommend?
  11. I live in Australia, so its most likely that I'll be buying from a place called Umart. I don't really want to have to ship a mobo in from overseas but I will if I have to.
  12. It wasn't the Antenna. It was the connection on actual board. I thought about buying those but decided I rather just get a new mobo for convenience sake. I don't like knowing there's a part of my computer that doesn't work.
  13. Sup I need some help replacing/ upgrading my Asus P8Z77-V motherboard. The wifi component has somehow bent off the board causing the the connection between the two to stop connecting. All my attempts at fixing it have failed. So I'm biting the bullet and buying a new mobo. I'm currently having to use my old laptop as a wifi adapter. I'm looking for a mobo that can accommodate my I7-3770 and if possible future proof me when I want to upgrade my CPU in the future. I don't need fancy features and I don't overclock my ram or CPU either. If possible something under $200 would be good. I would like to get a board that is at least on par with my old one and something reliable too. Thank you for any advice and suggestions.
