While working in an airport or at a restaurant you can't control what windows are open. I keep going back and forth between getting a MacBook vs a Windows computer. The Macbook pro M1 or M2 14in seems like an absolutely great computer. Great build quality, a great track, great battery life, and a great screen. I have some applications that are only available on Mac and some only on Windows (none of them are mission-critical. Windows Modern standby is definitely a reason I am considering opting for a Macbook.

When I use to use windows only I kinda had the same thoughts. It's just easier to scroll and zoom with a touch screen. The trackpad on a Mac is so much better then on a windows laptop. But windows users don't know that and it's not talked about much

If I don't need to game, would there be anything in the windows market that would be as good or better then a m2 pro MacBook pro?

I'm definitely considering it. Just wanted to look at some options before I made a purchase.

I'm in the market for a new laptop. I'm looking for a more premium feeling one. I travel for work. Things that are important to me. Great battery life Solid construction Bright screen ( sometimes I have to work outside) Not to huge/heavy I want something a little powerful to handle light video editing, video playback (Resolume), and audio recording. I don't need any crazy specs I don't think I really like the MacBook pro M1 pro 14in 16gb ram. It seemed to handle everything great. (I use to have it as a company computer) I currently have a surface book 2 with 8gb ram and a dual core i5. It is just so slow for even browsing the Internet. would love to here your recommendations

Is there a device that could grab the audio out from my TV and just directly cast it

Unfortunately I have the cheaper Roku with out the head phone option. The remote listening on my phone might work though. It has a latency adjustment but idk how much it can adjust.

From my kitchen we have a great view of our tv. I love being able to wash dishes while watching the newest YouTube video. The issues is I have to turn my TV way up to hear it while washing dishes. What would be the best way to put a speaker in my kitchen and still be able to have audio at the tv? I have an old Chromecast, a Roku and an LG smart TV ( no Bluetooth). I have google home minis throughout my house so I would love to utilize those if possible. What's the best and cheapest way to make this happen? I don't need amazing sound quality
