i pulled an old project off the shelf, and finished my raspberry pi 4 case:

has access to all the I/O, easy SD card access, cooling fan, and a big cutout to plug IDE cables onto the GPIO header.

unfortunately there's *still* not much to do with this thing, because pi4 support is still disappointing.

Can it run GTA San Andreas?

no, it cannot. it cannot even run the ARM port of the the quake engine, because for pi4 they decided the gpu drivers needed to be different.

So much about that ''open source''

well, for staying realistic they have to go with an off the shelf ARM solution... but i do feel like it could be implemented MUCH better, it's kind of like they found their formfactor with the original pi, and havent come to the idea that there may be better options available...

Good to know. I remember that you tried to load games faster with a lot of different RAID configurations.
