its impressive how you can buy a smart TV that has a dedicated netflix, amazon prime video, and rakuten TV (the fuck is a rakuten) button on the remote, but it is still completely unable to connect to a SMB, CIFS, or FTP share directly to play content off a home NAS.

yeah.. samsung smart TV experience is somewhat like belgium's "smart" traffic lights.. smarter than braindead, but still absolutely retarted.

maybe TV manufacturers should just actually toss android on there, and make their remotes act like a wiimote. the wii browser is actually still the most couch-friendly browser experience i've ever used, and it's gone completely the way of the dodo because nintendo couldnt understand they actually found the perfect TV remote control.

i just discovered another painful fact about samsung smart TVs...

the included manual is "generic" for an entire range of TVs.. which is fine i guess..

they also have a built in software manual WHICH IS JUST THE SAME GENERIC ASS MANUAL..

yes, my TV's on-screen instructions tell me that "if it's a 65 inch tv then this, if it's a 50 inch tv then this"

    WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK. SAMSUNG.
