using my media center pc, because my main rig is currently in intensive care...

i'm really considering buying an antivirus just to get rid of windows defender..

you have absolutely NO control over defender, and if it decides to scan your entire games library, it WILL scan your entire games library, no matter if you were actually trying to use that drive right now..

so.. defender has been messing with my game loading speeds, but today broke all records:

windows defender, a program designed to keep your computer safe, has managed to lock up my system trying to scan something, and in turn corrupted the OS.

for all the flac norton actually deserves, specificly for the 2013 version.. i've NEVER had norton screw up THIS badly, and if i tell norton to sod off, norton WILL sod off.

    Wait until you use McAfee.

*Sir your system needs to restart*

    No I'm busy

*Well I'm going to do it anyway... Restarting.*

    Shit I haven't saved...

mcafee is the classroom example of how not to make an antivirus.

norton 360 on the other hand...

Which is sad as there was a point where McAfee was actually decent. Then it took a nosedive and just ended up being the horrible mess it is today.

You can add your Steam library to the exclusion folder though. It will not scan.
