He LEGALLY made a DONATION to a PUBLIC vote.
Because yay democracy. More people disagreed than they agreed with that view.
You may not agree with what he thought, but are you seriously suggesting that his right to believe in what he believes be taken away?
What if you lost your job over something you did 6 years ago that has no real bearing on you today? Are you some saint who never did anything wrong?
Everyone is entitled to act on their own beliefs. That is a CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHT.
You have a problem with that? Change the laws and hinder free speech. That's your only recourse.
Do I agree with his position? Hell no. Do I think he is wrong? Hell yes. That doesn't mean he can't say wha he thinks. He has that right. However wrong, he has that right.
And I don't know about you all, but I'd rather not live in a world where we police opinions and perform character assassinations on people just because they have a different view on things. That is their birthright to have those views. We can judge all we want, but we have no justification to take that away from them.

I think the whole issue is ridiculous, are they gonna hunt down everybody who donate to that cause and make them resign too?

This whole thing was the dumbest thing I have seen this year.
Who gives a shit what the guy thinks? What does it have to do with Mozilla does? Oh you're not allowing Firefox to access your website because of the CEO's opinion, well that's weird, but I'm sure you also blocked JavaScript right?
God forbid a guy be judged for his work and effort.

Yes we will need a UOLTT collection fund. Yes that is the inherent problem...the plausible 12 year olds. We need to make sure we are able to sustain a corporation but not some giant Welfare system ect we will need the funds to purchase massive capital ships and maintain the fleets ect. Also the players who play for a long time should be the ones who are rewarded and their contributions assured that they are properly used.

If he is a tanker he will most likely collect it from another UOLTT member and thus the marginal income will be collecting money off other members so if he gets money from the UOLLT it will essentially be deducting money from the overall funds of the group. (my thoughts anyway...)

I can see where you're coming from, and my idea would be not to subsidise the convoy itself, but to give the members of the military a ship of their own to do with as they will for org missions. That or provide the weaponry.

So, instead of giving grants, there'd probably be a system where, you'd get better equipped if you weren't already.

    I agree with this.

My input on this would be for to have a membership fee and to have an income tax rate, both to be rather negligible numbers in %, but enough to sustain the org as a whole.

    For example :

    If the membership fee (paid once a month, or so) is 5k UEC, and the income tax is 10% then;

at our current numbers we'd pull in 850,000 UEC straight away. Then say the average job pays around 10,000 UEC, then we'd deduct 1k from that, which is a further 170k UEC from there if each member does a job like that.

Obviously there's still a lot of unknowns as to how much UEC will be worth, so we'll definitely adjust to fit with those. We want to be prosperous, without leaving you guys too out of pocket.

The things I'd hope to buy with that 1020000 UEC would be :

Ships to power our fleet To buy and maintain Space Stations To provide (possible) Insurance through the org To buy new star charts To offer bonuses to our members in our owned space Obviously not everything will come straight away. But that's what I hope to do with the UEC once we're set up and running.

Hey just a heads up to my fellow pilots, LTT Conglomerate has fallen off the #1 spot of most active organization and I couldn't even find us scrolling down for a little!!! I am not sure what happened, maybe we were taken off because we have to share the spot light but if not and we are becoming less active I think we should step it up and stick it to Imperium... LTT!!!!!!

Well, I'm having the same issue. I already have a 325a and an Aurora MR, but I keep drooling over the Freelancer+ package and I am sure that IF I end up buying it (which will most likely happen), I won't be satisfied and start drooling over the Constellation. A month ago, I wasn't even vaguely interested in the game, and now I can't stop...
    I have a problem

o god, I just spent about 10 minutes arguing with myself. trying to convince my self that I DO NOT need to buy another fucking ship.

I keep looking at the SC store, then back at my bank balance, I have more than enough money to buy a constilation and I kinda want it....but then I remind my self that the game isnt even bloody out yet. I cant use it. Save my money and buy something useful and not another ship, I have two, I only needed one.

    Fuck......
This game isnt even out yet and im willing to sell a kidney just to get one more ship. I think I have a problem.

Linus should make a recruitment video, something totally random like the corsair keyboard on the roof skit, so LTT can have barging rights as the biggest group, out of a pool of 664k there are 335 people thats only 0.05% of all subscribers.

Windows NEIN! sorry I had to... I hope the ditch the Modern UI or at least on the desktop version of the system; possibly give you a choice or some kind of customisation. I honestly don't mind the simplicity but I prefer my start menu and the Desktop experience compared to the modern UI. Merging both UIs together could also be a good thing if done correctly.

I'll recommend you the same thing that i recommend everyone:
Increase core clock by 10-25MHz Test for stability using either Unigin Heaven or a graphic heavy game (Crysis 3, Metro: Last Light, Battlefield 4 ect) If stable repeat If unstabel increase core voltage by 5mV (Might not be possible. It depends on the card) Repeat untill you hit a core temp of 90-95C If you want you can overclock the memory aswell, but it really doesn't impact performance. Increase the memory clock by 25-50MHz Test for stability (See second step) When unstable, scale back to last stable setting
