  1. My laptop is an Alienware M15 R6 with a Core i7 11800H, RTX 3070, 1 Tb M2 SSD, 16 gb of RAM, and a 1080P 165 hz LCD display which I got for 1800 euro on sale. My friend has an HP spectre which he paid 2000 euro which has a 360 hinge, 4K OLED touch screen 60Hz, Core i7 10750H, GTX 1650, and a 500 gb M2 SSD. Is this a good trade in your opinion? I'll get the Hp but he'll get the alienware.
  2. With the rise of the Ryzen chips taking a large portion of the PC microconductor market share and Apple ditching Intel for M1, is Intel truly screwed and going the way of Blackberry? I've had a look at some of their 11th-gen mobile chips and they seem to be finally doing a bit better (on 10 nm) and they perform similar to the Ryzen 5000-series, but they still draw a lot of power and their desktop processors (11th gen at least) still leave a lot to be desired compared to the Ryzen offerings but we'll see with the 12th gen whether they are making progress like with their laptop lines. Do you think Intel is screwed? Or can they come back?
  3. Looking for a new pair of headphones, had the Sony XM3s but found the fit a bit tight around my head. Was wondering which is a better value? The Bose QC45 or Apple AirPods max?
  4. This is pretty neat- just got the M1 12.9 iPad Pro 2 weeks ago. Does it take advantage of the 120 hz display as well on the iPad?
  5. Can they recover from the disastrous Cyberpunk 2077 launch? Is the company finished?
  6. Unfortunately I move around a lot for work and I am unable to build my own gaming PC. I have an M1 MacBook Air and I can play the Google Stadia version of Cyberpunk 2077 and with a google stadia subscription ($11.99 monthly) with my DS4 controller. I also have an HP spectre with Core i7 10750H, Nvidia GTX 1650TI, and 16 gb of DDR4 RAM. I was wondering if for gaming I should just use a google stadia on my Mac or should I use the PC version?
  7. Do you think Apple would still be profitable today if Steve Jobs were still in charge?
  8. I was wondering which is a better value: the iPad Air 4 (64 gb storage, A14 chip, 4 gb RAM) and magic keyboard for 900 pounds or the M1 base MacBook Air (8 core CPU, 7 core GPU, 256 gb memory, 8 gb RAM) for 1000 pounds?
  9. Was interested until I saw the 670 euro price tag here in Ireland lol. Would have been nice for $300-400 range but 600+ no way in hell. Cost twice as much as my Sony XM4s but probably won’t come close to sounding twice as good.
  10. Which event was more important in Apple’s history in your opinion?
  11. A high-end smartphone and a cheapo smartwatch vs. A mid-range smartphone and a high-end smartwatch?
  12. They make cringey ads and marketing promotions at Apple’s expense, yet they always end up following Apple’s practices (see removing the headphone jack in 2016-2017 and pricing phones at the $1000 or more price point starting 2017 after the iphone X), yet they fail to support their products for more than 2 years at most from a software point of view. Is samsung worse than apple?
  13. A few years back Huawei matebooks used to be sold at Microsoft stores in malls and I remember how nice their displays looked and they overall had good build quality. Now I don't see huawei laptops anymore. Whatever happened?
  14. Back in the Sandy Lake days, I used to stick every sticker I could find that came with any CPU/GPU/SSD in the front of the case. Was very tacky in retrospect. Nowadays I keep the front of my case clean and prefer the minimalistic look. Do you stick stickers for CPU/GPU on your case?
  15. I own a OnePlus 6T and although the product is great, I dread that my money could possible go to support a Chinese government that imprisons Uighur Muslims in concentration camps, cracks down on Tibetan culture, and is destroying the judicial independence of Hong Kong. Would you be less likely to support Chinese products now given the CCP government record?
  16. Glad I picked up an iPhone 11 instead of waiting for a pixel 4 lol
  17. I'm looking for a new phone to upgrade from my OnePlus 6T and Im deciding between the iPhone 11 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I played around with the Mate 20 Pro in the store and was absolutely blown away with the quality of the display and overall build quality of the device. I see Huawei is supporting the Mate 10 for Android 10 as well so I am expecting another 2-3 years of support for the Mate 20 Pro which I am happy with. The reason I am considering iPhone 11 as well is because I use an iPad Air 3 as a mobile computer and it could pair better with my iPad. So it's Mate 20 Pro for €500 with 128 GB storage or iPhone 11 64 GB for €850. Which is a better deal in your opinion?
  18. Who is/was a better Apple CEO between Steve Jobs and Tim Cook?
  19. Purchased an Asus Vivobook F512Da 15.6 inch laptop and iPad Air 3 with Logitech Slim Combo keyboard this summer, which in your opinion would you rather have as the main mobile work computer? I am in final year medical school and do a lot of data analysis using PSPP/SPSS in addition to the usual web-browsing and media consumption. Specs of laptop: Ryzen 5 3500U 8 gb DDR4 RAM 256 gb M.2 SSD Vega 8 Spec of iPad Air 3 A12 bionic chip 3 gb LDDR4X RAM 64 gb
  20. Now that iPad OS has built in Bluetooth mouse and external storage support with expanded capabilities for productivity apps like video and photo editing software and more powerful processors (the a12x on the iPad Pro scores better than laptop core i7s on Geekbench) do you think iPads can be used as main laptops for the general, non-gaming consumer?
  21. I still remember back in the early 2010s when Intel introduced Sandy Bridge followed by Ivy Bridge and AMD couldn’t keep up with their Bulldozer and Piledriver products some people predicted the demise of AMD to Intel. Intel back then offered better single-core performance for lower TDP, while AMD produced energy sucking chips that were not very energy efficient and had poor single-core performance. Now after AMD released Ryzen the roles seem to have switched. Intel is still stuck on 14 nm and is compensating by adding more clock speed and core counts which makes their chips less energy efficient. Is Intel in 2019 in as poor a shape as AMD was in the early 2010s?
  22. Looks amazing, any hardware issues or bugs with the Hackintosh?
  23. For the average gamer and user? I am currently building my PC with: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 16 GB Crucial Ball. 2666 MHz B450M MSI gaming edition motherboard GTX 970 500 GB Samsung evo SSD+ 1 TB HHD My upgrades are either 1) 16 to 32 GB of RAM or 2) upgrade the Samsung SSD to an m.2 SSD and get rid of the HDD
