  1. I'm looking for a new phone to upgrade from my OnePlus 6T and Im deciding between the iPhone 11 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I played around with the Mate 20 Pro in the store and was absolutely blown away with the quality of the display and overall build quality of the device. I see Huawei is supporting the Mate 10 for Android 10 as well so I am expecting another 2-3 years of support for the Mate 20 Pro which I am happy with. The reason I am considering iPhone 11 as well is because I use an iPad Air 3 as a mobile computer and it could pair better with my iPad. So it's Mate 20 Pro for €500 with 128 GB storage or iPhone 11 64 GB for €850. Which is a better deal in your opinion?
  2. Who is/was a better Apple CEO between Steve Jobs and Tim Cook?
  3. Purchased an Asus Vivobook F512Da 15.6 inch laptop and iPad Air 3 with Logitech Slim Combo keyboard this summer, which in your opinion would you rather have as the main mobile work computer? I am in final year medical school and do a lot of data analysis using PSPP/SPSS in addition to the usual web-browsing and media consumption. Specs of laptop: Ryzen 5 3500U 8 gb DDR4 RAM 256 gb M.2 SSD Vega 8 Spec of iPad Air 3 A12 bionic chip 3 gb LDDR4X RAM 64 gb
  4. Now that iPad OS has built in Bluetooth mouse and external storage support with expanded capabilities for productivity apps like video and photo editing software and more powerful processors (the a12x on the iPad Pro scores better than laptop core i7s on Geekbench) do you think iPads can be used as main laptops for the general, non-gaming consumer?
  5. I still remember back in the early 2010s when Intel introduced Sandy Bridge followed by Ivy Bridge and AMD couldn’t keep up with their Bulldozer and Piledriver products some people predicted the demise of AMD to Intel. Intel back then offered better single-core performance for lower TDP, while AMD produced energy sucking chips that were not very energy efficient and had poor single-core performance. Now after AMD released Ryzen the roles seem to have switched. Intel is still stuck on 14 nm and is compensating by adding more clock speed and core counts which makes their chips less energy efficient. Is Intel in 2019 in as poor a shape as AMD was in the early 2010s?
  6. Looks amazing, any hardware issues or bugs with the Hackintosh?
  7. For the average gamer and user? I am currently building my PC with: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 16 GB Crucial Ball. 2666 MHz B450M MSI gaming edition motherboard GTX 970 500 GB Samsung evo SSD+ 1 TB HHD My upgrades are either 1) 16 to 32 GB of RAM or 2) upgrade the Samsung SSD to an m.2 SSD and get rid of the HDD
  8. ASUS Vivobook ryzen 5 3500U laptop is currently on sale at Best Buy in Canada for $599 and it caught my eye, but it comes with the integrated Vega graphics for AMD. How will it perform in games compared to my older Medion laptop I got while I was in Europe? Current laptop Medion Erazer specs: i7 7500u 8 gb DDR4 RAM 500 gb Intel SSD NbVe 1 tb Samsung 840 SSD GTX 1050 gpu vs. ASUS vivobook AMD Ryzen 5 3500u 8 Gb DDR4 RAM 256 gb SSD Vega 8 GPU
  9. I am currently running an Fx-6300 system after my Core i7 crapped out and I am looking to upgrade my chipset to pair with my GTX 970. I am really close to pulling the trigger on the Ryzen 5 3600 after seeing it blow the current market CPUs out of the water with a CPUmark score of 20,000 for a manageable price ($200). Should I wait for the Intel comet lake or go AMD now?
  10. With wireless charging and cloud storage for data and file transfers becoming more prevalent, do you think USB-c and lightning port will be the next to go after the headphone jack?
  11. Currently using Oneplus 6T which is a pretty good phone and been using it since November, deciding whether to switch to the Samsung A50. Is it worth it? Will have to sign a 2-year contract for $55 per month whereas now I'm on a BYOP plan with my OP6T.
  12. Do you think Huawei is being treated unfairly by the US administration and by Google? Is the ban justified? I own a Huawei tablet which I only got earlier this year in February so it's a shame to see this happen.
  13. I'm looking for a pair of BT headsets to go with my OnePlus 6T and currently the choices are JBL's T450BT which goes for $80 vs. Senneheiser's HD 4.5 which I can get for $150 on sale. Which headset is better?
  14. I watched a few videos of people doing mystery brand mystery box unboxings and a few of them managed to unbox an iPhone XS from the $19.99 Apple box. If I spend $200 on boxes, is there a good chance I can get an iPad or iPhone?
  15. Currently using S6, all phones are new from our Canadian carrier (Fido). He enjoys watching videos and taking pictures, along with the usual stuff like texting and calling.
